Today's episode was pure filler. There wasn't any movement in any story. Its a wasted episode. The best part was seeing EJ in the priest costume.

Marlena in her devil costume was hilarious. Could they have found a cheaper Party City wig for her though? Thank god Belle was FINALLY on. She should be all over this possession storyline, yet today was the first time we've seen her in ages. I have to say that I hate the devil voice.

Abby wants to look through Dr. Snyder's office. Huh? It's been like four months since he died. Surely his office has been cleaned out and given to someone else by now. Also, Chad and Abby need to start locking their bedroom door. EJ just strolls right in and sits on the bed while they're making out, LMAO! EJ driving Chad crazy is hilarious to me.

EJ practicing his eyebrow acting was hilarious.

Poor Tripp doesn't even get to be included in the Ouija board scenes. He must've been busy embroidering another blanket. He is truly just an afterthought. This is really a triangle with Chanel and the twins.

Father EJ is mine!

I have the sudden urge to go to confession after today

Agreed.  I enjoy his ridiculous commitment to this movie part lol.  I don't think this episode was entirely filler.  We found out John was in the crypt, Johnny and Allie are going to investigate, and Belle was suspicious of Marlena.  Everything else was boring though.

It was nice to see Belle again.  I feel like it's been months.

I liked Marlena "sexy" devil costume with red lipstick and wig, but still a pantsuit underneath.  Is 75 year old Marlena just going to walk around town in costume just because?  Whoever said we needed a party or an event for this is right.

I like John stuck at the Dimera crypt.  But it takes me out of kidnappings when I have no idea how John is going to eat or pee.

MarDevil wig came from Dollar Tree.

How no one can figure out that's not Marlena is beyond me.

The Chad/Abby/Father EJ

It was about halfway through the episode, but it was a blink-and-you-miss-it moment. EJ was on the couch looking at his script and was like, "I gotta work on that eyebrow thing," did an eyebrow raise, and then Abby walked in. It was awesome. I also appreciate that DF made an attempt at emulating Drake's gravelly voice when he called Abby "my precious Marlena" at the beginning of the episode. Now I want to see EJ playing John just so I can hear more of his Drake Hogestyn voice (plus the priest outfit).

I'm currently trying to figure out what I enjoyed about this show before DF came along.

    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
    • I know that Secret Storm had moved back to the 4/3 PM timeslot in the final months on air, so it's possible that they were trying to employ new techniques/elements to lure the teen demographic.   If that episode was around November/December 1973, I do wonder if the owners (AHS) were still trying to shop the show to other networks still.. or if they had accepted that the show was going to officially go off the air in Feb 1974 at the time of this episode airing.
    • Jordan should have been killed or written out a decade ago.
