I've always wondered why he was fired from Veronica Mars as well. Say what you will about the actor, but his character on VM was a great foil for the protagonists, and it was just weird that they axed Muhney without any reason being given to the public.

Muhney left the show early 2014; since the we’ve had a far more seasoned superior actor take over as well a far more competent and balanced newbie. He’s had plenty of time to make amends/come to terms with it and move on in his career or start his own websoap.

.

From what I remember reading way back in ‘07 Muhney was exactly like sleazy Sheriff Don Lamb in real life on the set, maybe that’s why he played the role so well?

That reminds me whatever happened to Nelson Branco & Daniel Coleridge?

I find it surprising he would choose to bring this up again indeed but worth pointing out that in this very thread people are taking that one rumor as a given fact and call him a predator despite the fact there was never any accusation publicly made or even hinted at, that it was specifically denied by those who were supposed to be involved and that there is extensive interviews of other actors (not just EB but Jerry Douglas as well) who are quite harsh on him but explain his firing by his generally arrogant assholery on-set, which can't be accused to be favorable spin.
So considering he has done zero since he was fired, can't entirely blame him for being a bit bitter he can't shake that rumor off.

Could it just be that he was fired because of his [!@#$%^&*] behavior? He has said repeatedly it was not because of HK and while she has never refuted the rumor, which is also suspect, she never said it was true either. Why she chooses to remain silent knowing it's believed that he groped her is a mystery. I think none of  the actors really stood up for him because he was generally unliked on set. Maybe the guy is just frustrated that people keep accusing him of it years later when he knows he's innocent of this particular rumor. It has to be tough trying to find work when people keep throwing it in his face it's the reason he hasn't been able to find work.

Almost the entire Y&R cast, to a performer, tacitly supported Muhney's firing with public comments about either his dismissal or in support of Hunter King. Muhney has barely worked since. Based on that, you don't need a building schematic or a public accusation from a woman who would've been a very young victim to connect the dots and believe the allegations were true.

I do wonder if DC, etc. ever apologized for their 'just squash the beef and bring back Muhney!' stuff they were still pushing even a few years ago. Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Oh yes, trying to get into any soap from scratch starting post-2010 would be hard. I prefer to go back to the good ol' days, before the decline.
    • Can we talk about how iconic the 1994 tornado was on AMC? I was scanning through old episodes last night and came across this episode. The tornado was epic and the storylines/aftermath were so good (Julia's scar/Noah!; Jenny/Ray/Nola/Jesse in heaven with Tad, etc).  For 1994, these special effects and budget for this big event were amazing. 10 out of 10!  The only thing missing is Erica!  I can't recall where Erica was at the time, but I really wish she had been involved in this storyline.

    • On the way to her own engagement party? I've read that the show had trouble getting the audience to sympathize with Rita, but...that seems bizarre. Maybe I can understand the issue with the censors, given that at the time, rape wasn't depicted the way it is now, and marital rape was even less acknowledged.  Wasn't Chris Brooks' rape one of the first honest stories on the subject? I just don't think I could get into a show I didn't have a working knowledge of. I know it's a different era, but I really tried to get into GH once Maura West joined, but it just never jelled.
    • Yes it was! My mom and I convinced my dad to get one. He was--how shall I put this?--on the thrifty side, but one day he came home with one as a surprise. To this day, I'm convinced it fell off a truck. (He knew people with "connections."

) BUT, we had our VCR and we could watch our soaps. That thing lasted forever! It was built like a tank. Even when we got new ones with more features, we kept that one.

Blasphemy!  (Haha, I get it.  But, you should try watching AMC! 80s-90s was so good.)
    • I thought about saying how I resented the fact that those two newbies were tripping up the Puppetmaster of all Puppetmasters, when the best others could do was a stalemate (or less...). But, well...*sigh*
    • I read years ago that both Zaslow and Lenore both complained that it came off as a seduction because of CBS censors, so Lenore asked if she could say, "you raped me" to leave no doubt with the audience, and that Zaslow insisted that Holly's rape played realistically
    • Wow it’s official, Gatwa is out… https://www.avclub.com/ncuti-gatwa-addresses-doctor-who-finale-statement DW fandom on Reddit is in a furor over how things went down and apparent last minute scrapping of the original ending. Also…Billie Piper again really?
    • He comes pretty close, talkin' about how Reva is full of love and joy, blah blah....which is bilge considering he was the one responsible for throwing her out of Josh's life over working with Alan.
    • Just watched the episode concerning Olivia's drug use and Abby's persistence, etc. Donna Mills did stellar work in this episode, as did Tonya Crowe and Brian Austin Green (Brian).
