They'll never fire her. If they didn't fire Steve for his pyramid scheme years ago, they won't fire her. GH and all the soaps are too obsessed with clinging to any scrap of the dying audience share vs. dramatically overhauling the shows, and that includes clinging to the 300-500 remaining Jasam fans on social media.

I would make an example of her or anyone else that pulled that. That sets the tone. If it can happen to her it can happen to anyone, so mask up or get out. Same goes for Missy Reeves if she keeps showing out publicly on that race shít at DOOL. A lot of daytime folks are conservative under the hood but most of them are wise enough to keep their mouths shut at a time like this. Nancy should've been suspended on that Viola Davis mess a few years ago too, but anyway the political issue is another topic so nvm.

My mother is  claustrophobic and she had a major panic attack while wearing the mask. It was frightening to watch. I have no idea if Monaco does or does not have claustrophobia, but it's scary to see someone go through something like that. My mother has limited her movements right now because she is petrified of wearing a mask.

Thank you for that. I'll let her know. She's been depressed by the whole thing. I didn't mean to derail the discussion about Kelly Monaco, but I just wanted to put it out there that the claustrophobia claim may be real. I have no idea. I am so out of about GH performers that I had no idea she was with Billy Miller.

FWIW Kelly Monaco was on Howard Stern years ago talking about early in her career, on a modelling gig, some guys slipped her something and she was a victim of rape or attempted rape. I have read that many sexual assault survivors have struggled with wearing masks because of past experiences. I have no idea if that has anything to do with this situation. Just another perspective. It's not necessarily a political thing if she's having a panic attack wearing a mask.

Oh that's strange. I did remember reading on here that her mom had made some tweets, but I had no idea it was regarding the use of a mask. I thought she was actually ill.

Her Mom said Kelly had issues wearing the mask

Lydia Hirsch said she flat out refused to wear one

I believe Lydia

Lynda Hirsch makes some errors.

Last week on her gossip page, she said that Frank Valentini married his 16-year boyfriend in the Hamptons.  But of course it was Ron Carlivati, not Frank.

Last week on her soap summaries page, she said that for DAYS, when Abigail returns to Salem she'll think that Chad is attracted to Ben. (It should say Gwen, not Ben).

And this week for B&B, she talked about Thorne and Brooke -- when it was supposed to be Ridge and Brooke.

To that point: Very interesting that This Is Us is incorporating COVID into upcoming story. Probably would have been tricky for the soaps timing-wise, and I do see some commenters saying they won’t watch since they see TIU as an “escape” from the world they live in. But TIU is actually doing what soaps used to do effectively, reflect the world.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
