^  Wondering if that is an error!

--

Rumors/speculation .... that Episode 7150 might be repeated because it was preempted in USA June 9, 2020 but aired in Canada June 8, 2020.

Broadcasts of soaps get cut off all the time lately with Covid, politics, racial injustice, and general global chaos.

Was there an actual official preemption?
Did anyone in the USA watch it live or catch on DVR?

#7150 description: Nick and Sharon arrive via horseback to a lovely area far out on the ranch property where he has arranged for a romantic evening in a tent-like structure with exotic food and costumes. Newly-reconciled Billy and Mac happily privately discuss the future. Meanwhile Jill is annoyed to learn that they had reconciled. When Christine calls Paul from Hong Kong, Isabella answers Paul's phone. Michael calls Christine in Hong Kong and suggests she take a job offer in Australia. Malcolm and Olivia are divorcing and discussing custody of Nate. Malcolm is dating Alex and wants dating advice from Neil.

I really enjoyed this week so far. It was also nice that the first three episodes were all from the same year - just made the week seem so much more cohesive. It wasn't like you're jumping a decade from one day to the next and getting a whole new aesthetic and different characters/actors.

So they're going to air the July 2019 carnival? I'm glad there's Teriah stuff but I'm annoyed that it's just a few weeks after Stafford's return. They gave us two Sandra Nelson episodes. I don't want recent years, but if they have to do recent years then I want a Tognoni Phyllis epi.

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
    • She’s INCREDIBLE. I’m so glad you enjoyed this my friend.
