I mean they invited her back for the tribute episode which shocked us all (in a good way).

To be fair, Rowell did try to sue them. As much as I want her back, I'm willing to bet the corporate heads at Sony and CBS won't get over that quickly. Though she seems ready to put aside those differences for the betterment of the show.

Yes. It was also documented in her lawsuit that Brad Bell wanted to bring her to B&B as Dru or a new character and was then told they wouldn't allow it.

I agree with some initial excitement over MM returning, but I also want Ana to have a story and VR back. These characters are some of the most interesting on the show. Just like you bring everybody back for Adam, boost these people and give them their due.

Propping as in Elena the character is pretty much a lifeless shell.  We do not get to know her.  Elena will never do anything that is not about Devon.  This is why she is a doctor but cannot work as one.  Whatever job she gets they will not show it.  She will not have friends of her own unless it involves Devon.  Elena will never be shown as an independent character.  She will never have a storyline outside of Devon.  She will only be seen as an extension of Devon.  That is called propping.  Compare that to the other female characters.  Who else is a shell with no purpose but to be a prop?  No one.  Even Ana has a life outside of Devon.

I am not sure why you feel the need to actress bash.  The fact is that the writers are pretty crappy to all of the black characters right now.  It is not fair to blame the actors for flat out racism.  Elena was cast to prop and prop only.

I'm not actress bashing. Just explaining what I think is the difference between propping versus a lack of interest by TPTB. It's not a knock to Brytni Sarpy. It's a knock to the writers whose lack of interest and inspiration stems from exactly where you suspect. Racism. Yet, somehow, you think that she's being written this way because she's paired with Devon.  As if Devon is bringing her down and the problem. That is also not the case.

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
