So sick of Anthony Anderson....why didn't they let Janet Dubois play Willona?

Tiffany Hadish will just be playing a damn variation of herself, like always.

This is reason enough to skip it!

Looking at the character of Thelma Evans and the elegance that BerNadette Stanis exuded as her, I would've preferred someone like Condola Rashad in the role.  They already had the comedian in the bunch in Jay Pharoah, no need for another JJ.

Remember, folks, last year's telecast had a bait-and-switch of sorts, with Marla Gibbs filling in "at the last minute," IIRC.  There's nothing that says they couldn't (or wouldn't) do the same thing this time around, too.  ;)

So apparently, Tiffany Haddish is portraying Willona Woods and not Thelma. Jamie Foxx's daughter, who I don't know whether she has any acting experience is playing Thelma.  Sigh.

Absolutely.

Marisa Tomei makes the AITF episode again. She’s perfection as Edith. Woody is a bit better this time as Archie.

Jesse Eisenberg is just going to be a snide collegiate pipsqueak for his entire career.

I thought the Good Times ep was... off. Probably not the best choice in terms of the comedy.

How was Jamie Foxx's daughter? Not that you need a lot of acting to play Thelma. I know some were upset because of her appearance...

Not great. She seemed pretty out of place tbh, especially when she was trading quips with J.J. But, yes, thankfully not much was required of her.

I thought she bore a slight resemblance to Stanis but I can see why some were upset. I thought she was fine, nothing great.

I haven't seen the AITF portion yet. Didn't watch it live last night.
