Members Khan
Because they spend more on one episode of TLC's "Trading Spaces" than they do on the wardrobe for the entire DAYS cast.
Members KMan101
Well, considering Koslow's husband is in charge of that and she's eccentric, to say the least, it's not a surprise the wardrobe is often terrible. Vanessa A. Williams always looked *fabulous* though. And Camila Banus knows how to dress herself. I've heard many of them dress themselves, but I have no idea how true that is. Members xtr
I agree that Camila usually looks very good. She was looking great in a white dress she was wearing on the show a couple of weeks ago. Vanessa Williams always looked good too. I think that Nadia often looks very nice as well. I also like the way Mary Beth Evans dresses.
Members Khan
On the bright side, though, it'd sure beat the hell out of accompanying the costume designer on his weekly scavenger hunt at Ye Olde Local Goodwill Store.

Members DaytimeFan
Lauren Koslow's husband has nothing to do with the costumes. The costumer is Richard Bloor. Lauren's husband is the head of makeup for the show.
Members KMan101
Ah, I got it mixed up. Thank you! I forgot about Bloore. I should have remembered better! lol
Members DaytimeFan
No problem! I just didn't want Lauren's husband taking the heat for the atrocious costumes some people wind up in (including his wife!)...but I think you're very right that a lot of them dress themselves. Members KMan101
Ah, yes, Nadia does look great most of the time. Most of the women do, though sometimes I question Koslow and Dee's wardbrobe. Yikes. And the men are either in suits or look homeless or dressed like college professors. Remember the year Jack spent in cardigans? Will then borrowed his wardrobe ... lol I think I'm right in that too, but like I said, I'm not 100% sure. I swear I've heard that though. Maybe not everyone. Some have good taste, some don't. Bloore has terrible taste, IMO. I can't believe I got them mixed up Please register in order to view this content remember a while back everyone was in godawful ugly floral stuff? Makeup is on point so kudos to her husband, LOL! Members juppiter
Can I just say that it is a shame that gay rights came after soaps started to suck? Imagine a gay supercouple. Or not even a gay supercouple. Decently written gay characters/couples. It can be said that we all hate Sonny because we all know a sonny, or are sonny (I may hit a nerve there), but I find Leo to be the most honest gay character ever written. I know Leos. I certainly don’t know any Wills and I didn’t know any Lukes or Noahs either. Unfortunately, once gays were allowed on daytime, the writing for them showed equality as it was just as awful as the writing for the straight characters. We missed the boat. Omg the fun Doug Marland would have had with gay characters had he lived. It’s really a shame.
Members katie_9918
I don’t know why some are so surprised that Chandler Massey ain’t taking any of this seriously. He did the same thing for at least a year before he was cut loose the first time and he’s even more insufferably smug and just plain bad now that he was actually asked back. Christopher Sean was able to throw some illusion over CM’s complete lack of effort, but he’s not around anymore. As lackluster as the writing for the gay couple is, the only actor involved willing to go for broke is the “villain” of the piece. The writing, as bad as it is, is NOT the biggest problem here. Members DRW50
A year? That's generous. It's a paycheck for him, as it is for most. The only time he ever perked up was with Camilla Banus. If he is staying around, I wish they'd just pair them up and if the show needs a gay character, bring on someone who is interested in playing the material (terrible as it will likely be). I imagine Marland's gay characters would have been incredibly somber if his last years as a writer were any indication, but at least they would have been treated like human beings. I've never known any gay men who sexually assault straight men. I am aware there are some out there...thankfully they are not around me, as that type of thing is dangerous and nowhere near as fun and sexy as daytime savior Ron Carlivati seems to think it is. Members ranger1rg
Thanks for your post. Glad to know I’m not alone in thinking that Chandler Massey is just awful. Every scene he’s in is ruined because he takes nothing seriously, and it’s a shame he’s not called out for it. Actors who work hard are let go while his clown act lives on. Members KMan101
But gays are more than cliches too. I'm as boring as they come and would definitely be a Will, Luke, Noah. I know it's not entertaining but I got tired of every gay being shown as flamboyant and extra (pick a sitcom from the 70s and 80s). Gays come in all forms Please register in order to view this content but yes, soaps tend to basically neuter their gay men. Leo is refreshing for the reasons above. He's allowed to be apologetically gay. I love it. But men like Will, Luke and Noah, etc. exist We'd be bitching if they were written as flamboyant bitchy cliches. I don't know what would make us happy. I guess I've just learned to not set any expectations when it comes to gay men on soaps. But yeah, they're all mostly the same, which is ultimately boring. But I know many Lukes, Wills and Noahs. I don't really think he ever perked up around Banus. He actually seemed to perk up around Christopher Sean. I know some people seem to really believe that Smith and Massey have contempt for the gay stuff but I don't see it like that. I really don't. I just don't think they're very good at playing them. I actually like both guys but they are lazy actors.
