Victor and Sharon on Y&R before the show ruined it.

Frankie Frame and Ryan Harrison on Another World... both were detectives that had a detective agency.. and they would give one another advice on their love lives.. though Vicky and Cass were jealous of the friendship.

Katie and Henry (ATWT) would have been a great example if they weren't thrown into that brief marriage.

I forgot about Jack and Hilary on Y&R. This dynamic happens a lot due to daytime’s squeamishness about interracial relationships between black and white characters.

 

Jack and Hilary doesn't count. The show repeatedly told us Hilary wanted jack but jack never reciprocated. She kissed him several times.

Hilary kissed Jack in Jan 2014. Devon saw it. He turned to esmerelda. Next thing we know, Hilary is sleeping with Neil. 

 

 

Hilary chased jack for months summer of 2016.  Culminating in her kissing him again. We all thought they'd blame that medicine, given by Dr what's his name while she was in a coma, for it. Yet, they never did. Instead, they said she was trying to spare Devon loosing her from possible death. The whole thing was ridiculous!

Oy. I *am* glad I missed that. My viewing was spotty then due to work and disinterest.

With Guiding Light, how about Phillip Spaulding and Reva Shayne? Don't think they ever crossed the lines of being platonic. 

 

Dr. Stephen Jackson and Bert Bauer. Perhaps if Dr. Jackson had remained on the show longer, I could've seen GL pairing the two.

Anna & Buzz briefly dated in the beginning. Then Duke Lavery came along and it was obvious where the chemistry was. There were a lot of unhappy looks on Buzz's part when that started. 😄

AMC's Jenny and Jesse.  I floved them!  So good!  Kim and Darnell had amazing chemistry too.  They were definitely one of the reasons AMC had such high ratings back then.

How about Vivian and Ivan on DAYS?

I'm almost sure that Vivian never had any romantic feelings for Ivan at least. I can't vouch for Ivan 100% though.

My memory isn't the greatest but I remember Ivan winning the lottery or a lot of money and Vivian left with Ivan and they were romantically involved.  I could be wrong but that's what I recall.
