Twitter just may be staring down that same future with Bozo Elon at the helm. As dynamic as Twitter interactions can be, it's never been known as a moneymaker. Hopes Musk loses his investment, that's assuming the deal even goes through.

Who knows? Maybe they might make up the shortfall after all. But they're still at a loss in the profit margin.

Biden's speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Fyi for context:  Earlier at the same dinner, there were several different tributes:
*A tribute to Alice Dunnigan and Ethel Payne, who were the first Black women in the White House press corps.
*An "in memoriam" video honoring all the journalists from around the world who have died reporting in Ukraine.
*The university students who just received journalism scholarship awards from the White House Correspondents' Association.
Biden references these tributes in his speech.

Biden's speech starts out with some dull jokes.  At one point, in all seriousness, Biden said he was stunned that CBS had hired Mick Mulvaney (and then made a joke about that)

The best part of Biden's speech, by far, is the latter part,
starting at the 7-minute mark, where he talks about the importance of serious journalism (and satire).
