I thought that the NIkki/Arturo/Abby scenes were the most interesting scenes from yesterday's show. Though I also thought that Nikki was inappropriate in how she treated Arturo and interrogated him and Abby about their interaction, and am wondering what are Arturo's feelings really are about Nikki/Abby.

Nikki was really pressing him about his relationship with Abby and trying to get every detail she could about the time they spent together. I also think she was wrong to suggest that he possibly took advantage of Abby, especially considering he is a business associate of hers.

That's not something she should have accused him of, unless she truly believed it. (Which she didn't she was just trying to see if him and Abby had slept together.) I thought he was right to tell her not to comment on his dating life, since they are not longer together and she decided she only wanted to be with Victor..

And I wonder what he really thinks about Abby. He's being really supportive/flirty towards someone he claims is "not his type." Maybe he is just really flirty/chivarlous and this is a smokescreen to get him and Nikki to resume their relationship. Maybe he spends more time bonding with Abby, Nikki continues to be jealous, admits her feelings and they decide to resume their relationship. And then maybe Abby gets romantically involved with Arturo's brother that he mentioned the other day, who might come to town and be introduced to her through Arturo.

Jack is at least 65. Sorry, I just can't see why it'd matter at this point. Especially since he's still got the same family. Even a blood tie to them all through Dina. Billy isn't his brother by blood but that's really no great loss.

Hilary is being treated like a human being by everyone today. Nikki was gracious and accepting. I'm hoping that they are moving away from Hilary as the town pariah.

Jack and neils scenes were great despite Jack's over the top woe is me.  Did anyone else think it odd that Neil used Devon being his adopted son versus him finding out late in life that lily wasn't his biological child to make a comparison to jack? I understand that Mal has interest in fathers and sons but that beat was just sitting right there to be picked up.

Sharon and nick seem too fast. Makes me think it won't last very long. Especially with this JT secret looming. I'll give it until the show casts it's next 40 something white leading lady. 4 months?  With that said, Joshua Morrow looks so damn good right now with his new haircut.

The Shick reunion is definitely going warp speed. It just feels like they didn’t know what else to do with them.

I can understand Jack being very, very upset about learning his late father wasn’t really his dad. It’s not an insignificant development that he’d shake off and laugh about. But this self-flagellation with Jack all bruised up and drinking is too much. And I do wonder why they haven’t included more John Abbott flashbacks.

Wow, again??  I haven't seen today's episode but this would be the second time that there was a moment ripe to reference Lily's paternity but was dropped.

People had mentioned previously that it wasn't mentioned during Abby and Lily's conversation about Jack/John.

Is Mal hoping that if he doesn't script any mentions that the audience will somehow forget about Malcolm?

I think it's just cause Mal isn't interested in Neil's relationship with lily. It's like he picked up prattl's worse story telling traits. Instead of writing what naturally follows and makes sense, he writes what's in line with what he wants to focus on. In this case it's Devon and Neil.

When we find out Victor is Jack's father (because Eric Braeden is old enough to be Jack's father) will you tune out...or will you keep watching?  Did you tune out when you found out Jill was Katherine's daughter?  Jack is actually Victor Newman Jr., and not John Abbott Jr.

EB and PB have a 12 year age difference, so I doubt Victor is going to be Jack's father.

Victor once mentioned to Abby that he wasn't even living in Genoa City when Dina was married to John Abbott. Didn't Dina reveal that she would meet Jack's father in a motel on the outskirts of Genoa City? If so, that leads me to believe that he was someone that lived in or near Genoa City.

Besides, if Jack has any Newman DNA, it would've been discovered during the Who's the Daddy for Summer and Faith.

If the writers decide to ignore previous DNA tests and make Jack a Newman, the retcon could be that Dina had an affair with Albert Miller, who would have lived in or near Genoa City under a new identity after abandoning his family, thus Jack and Victor would be half brothers.

Let's face it.. half of the going ons would be so much better if Jill was around.  The show has spent the last decade plus thinking Victor/Jack make the show... but since Jess Walton took a reduction in working... the lack of Jill is more noticeable.  Doubt the show will admit that.

    • I'm anticipating most of the cast at the Nice location for a few weeks a la the Tuscan villa for Victoria and Ashland's wedding. I don't know why they bother. I'd rather see the money going into more regular home/office sets. This party has been a bust. No secrets revealed, break ups  etc. Ugly decorations and I'm going to slam the costuming again. Just the guests heaping praise on  Nikki  like she's achieved some magnificent milestone rather than just getting a year older.

In the loving arms of his wife, Dr. Marlena Evans, John took his last breath at the end of the June 2 episode, after suffering devastating internal injuries during a lab explosion. The iconic character went out as he lived — a hero. Sensing the fans’ devastation on Monday, Marlena’s portrayer Deidre Hall posted this simple-but-powerful message to fans on Instagram: “I know. I know. Hardest day ever.”

    • Now coming into June...well...   I knew it was coming but I didn't like the start to the next round of Dani/Bill/Hayley. As the 3 A plots from the start of the show (The SilkPress storyline and Martin's Secret being the other two), it needed to be benched for a while to develop those characters and allow other characters and storylines to grow. 3 months in, Hayley is the weak link, Dani is still divisive, but not boring, and Bill has been making his mark with some plots faster than others. So last week seeing the story starting to loop back around to them with Hayley's potential pregnancy, I honestly had mixed feelings.   I get it. The SilkPress storyline is currently in aftermath/next turn mode, so it has to be moved into a C plot position. Moreso if we want to keep the very talented Miss Trish around. And I love how clever the writers are being with the storyline. They give us enough in the episodes and are still playing out beats to keep the appetite fed. I don't feel like anyone is being dumbed down to keep her around. And Trish is giving nuances in her alone scenes with NuTed. I shouldn't care for a clear psycho, but she be selling it. That said...I wish they had given us a little more of the Martin's Secret storyline in the last week of the month though I loved the game of cat and mouse Bill did on Martin and Smitty to keep the storyline alive and active after it had a nice build beginning of May and vanished for a week mid-May. And it appears like it's about to go back to the backburner as an A plot which of course leaves the A plot of Dani/Bill/Hayley.   I am probably in the minority as someone who is not anti-Dani here and even she annoyed the heck out of me last week. In character true, but I just felt like there was a way to get all of that across without it feeling like...as I've said before...one step forward, two steps back...and have it feel organic. I liked Hayley got a little bit of edge with her, but she still ain't no match for Dani. And it reminds to be seen if we should be going back to that well of a story yet.   Now about today's show...   And I thought Tracy was bad! lol. But YES. Sharon has been worth the wait. And so has Anita's story! Finally having TT in the limelight. This has been a nice slow burn for me and a nice B plot. And the actress is good. The wig is giving. And her holding what Anita's secret is over her head and threatening to tell Vernon....Ooooo...that is what I was waiting for.    And speaking of bad...I thought Eva vs Kat was a great rivalry. But I am loving the rivalry that is growing with 'Nancy Drew' and Silk Press Sheila! They both get good licks in and are so cunning with each other. And I definitely have liked that since the anniversary party, that it has been growing. Now that Kat has been proven right, she has not backed down. And neither has SilkPress. And we got a 'Ms. B@tch' moment, too? LOVE. Eva coming up with a trump card was delicious and so 90s Sami Brady. GOOD. And the coda with Jacob and the expert...YES. The Silk Press storyline has been the best paced on the show so I love that the aftermath of the anniversary party continues to be so...barring one flaw...well for me. Not enough Nicole's POV.   And I like the C plots on display. And by that, I mean Chelsea with Vernon. And it made me wonder what the writers have plan for her love life now that the throuple is over with. I was watching her and going awww.   And of course the mystery man around Martin. I am starting to wonder if he really even works at the country club given how he made a run for it. That would be a twist.    Speaking of Martin...good to see him in scenes with his father and mother.    I'm getting used to NuTed.    I felt the last episode of May was a bit of a letdown, but this was a very nice recovery.
    • Unless they cut him, I'd think he would stay. Surely, he didn't choose to return because he expected high quality. I figure he gets to work when he wants and spend a lot of time doing his own thing and being with his family.
    • The writing for Liz and Lucky is indeed terrible, but if JJ signed a one-year contract he may be gone in a couple of months anyway. Perhaps they’re just cutting their losses.
    • That would be his older sister Stacey. She was the center of a big story back in the day. Nola was out to snag medical student Kelly Nelson, who she thought would provide her with the life she craved. He was in love with a girl named Morgan. Nola plotted to get pregnant by him, but couldn't manage to get him in bed. So she seduced Floyd, who thought she was in love with him. When she knew she was pregnant, she got Kelly drunk and made sure he woke up next to her in bed. Kelly believed her when she told him he made her pregnant. They were about to elope to Las Vegas, but her mother ratted her out and Kelly abandoned her. She almost married Floyd, but jilted him at the altar. She went to work for Quint. When the baby came prematurely, Kelly saved both of them. She named the baby Kelly Louise to irk Morgan, who was now married to Kelly. When she fell in love with Quint, she had a change of heart over all the trouble she had caused, so she changed the baby's name to Anastasia Louise, shortened to Stacey. Quint was a devoted stepfather and Henry treated her like his own granddaughter.  After Quint and Nola leave SF, I believe Stacey is never seen again. Which is odd, you would think they would have brought her back with Nola and J, but they never did.
