The better option would be that Ashley really is John's daughter - obviously Dina didn't stop sleeping with him since they had Traci. No DNA test was ever done and I can't recall a single 'blood type not compatible' story with Ashley. 

 

Talk of Jack/Victor being related is an absolute disaster. As has been noted, we all remember the Kay/Jill mess, which somehow got worse with Jill being a Fenmore. 

I have a feeling Braeden and Bergman refused a Victor/Jack are brothers story, so I doubt it would happen, but who knows??

I say just make Jack brother to Sheila Carter or make Rex his dad and call it a day. 

Have Billy be Victor's son and Victoria discover she is actually Kevin Bancroft's daughter!

I was on break at work and literally gasp. God, I hope they don't go there, but it sounds like from an above post they are.

If that is the case, then Jack slept with his half sister Peggy Brooks and tried to seduce his other half sister Chris Brooks Foster.

 

I guess they would just gloss over that like they did on Dallas when it was revealed Ray Krebbs was Jock's son and he was sleeping with Lucy in the 5 part mini series. 

Rather than messing with Aunt Jack's "Abbott" paternity, I'd take any of the following rewrites:

 

1. Cane is really Philip

2. Ashley is really John's

3. John is alive and has been in witness protection

4. Traci gave birth to twins

5. Nikki/Jack's baby lived

6. Graham was drugging Dina ala Empire fake ALS

 

If the audience could accept:

1. Philip faked his death because he was gay

2. Sarah/Patty plastic surgery

3. Mariah (well that had more to do with CG)

4. StePhyllis not knowing she was sleeping with a double

5. Neil holding an ill Hilary hostage

and on and on and on, then I think the Y&R crowd would be darned OK with my suggestions.

Since Bill Bell had to retire( and later passed away), The revolving door of hack writers have mostly relied upon paternity reveals/screw ups, long lost children, and look alike storylines for the past 20 years.

Remember Faith's "Who's the Daddy" w/ Nick, Jack, and Billy, and Katie's "Who's the Daddy" w/ Billy and Ben? If Jack and/or Billy were Newmans, it would've been discovered during those DNA tests.
