That actually showed Ravi?! I thought he got a silent write off. I'm still not sure why they won't put him in with the younger set. He needs to be hanging out with Devon/Noah/Mariah etc. I'm not sure why he's boxed into this one character interaction. The way he's used, you could say that he's Ashley's imaginary friend and I would believe it.

He was on a blind date with Hilary. Phyllis set them up. All apart of the show's new "direction" for Hilary--she now has 'baby rabies'.

I thought being around the younger characters might liven Ravi up just a bit, but yeah no. The actor has the same problem as the Scott guy, they're just charisma vacuums. It's like they're in the scenes but you could literally just have someone off screen reciting their lines because they leave absolutely no impression whatsoever.

At least he was out of the box he's in. Let's see him Noah, Devon (ugh!), and Scott (another ugh!) have a guy night out. Just talking and giving a little character depth outside of the usual. It would give more insight into them outside of their women.

Ravi had a lot more life pre-makeover.

Good lord, I might fall asleep if you got all of those guys in one room hanging out. I like Devon but with that group? Yikes.

I like Devon the least. I just think they all need some character development, even, dare I say, Scott. I would likely recast Scott though. Besides, who's in that age group other than them?

It's a shame that Heather Tom is reduced to bedroom scenes with Wyatt.  She's such a good actress and she's just across the way on the CBS lot and could be Victoria again!

You mean when the role was known as Natalie? :) I can't even at the thought of Havi. They should've tested him with CG instead. The whole 'I want a baby' is beyond bizarre and insulting to a young, successful, career-woman.

I was totally embarrassed for the character during that date, they didn't even have her act subtle at all. From the start it read as an interrogation before Billy ever said anything.

Many successful career women get baby fever. However, this usually happens as they turn 40 without a prospect for marriage. The problem with how this story is playing for Hilary is that she's way too young for it. The character isn't yet 30 and already given up on romance and finding a mate. It's not like she's had a string of disappointments or gone a long time as a single (for soap time). Seems like a story better suited for a single Christine rather than Hilary.

He's never been and never could be as annoying as Natalie, and even better he's not attached to The World's Oldest Twenty Something.

For all its faults, at least One Life To Live got it right in this respect when they featured South Asian characters.

I've wanted Y&R to cast Nick Choksi & Shenaz Treasury as Ravi's siblings ever since he started mentioning his family.

He's an ideal character to build a new core family around.
