Really?? You come off so rude. You haven't even posted here in years. Why not say what you like about the show instead of being so negative to those that don't like SS writing.

Exactly. This reminds me of the early MAB bias where any criticism got dismissed or downplayed just because of the Bell at the end of her name. You can say Sally's not as bad as Pratt, Pissy & Shelly, etc but that doesn't absolve her from critique when she's got plenty of her own glaring issues.

I don't agree with that. I don't really remember the MAB talk on the boards. Sally's not above being criticized but sometimes it's a bit overdone, but that's IMHO. I'm not telling anyone what they can and cannot say. Criticize away LOL but it can always be worse. I still trust her with the show despite her shortcomings. But people were calling for her head weeks after she started. It was a bit much.

I don't blame her for everything because I have no doubts she's often told who to write for and focus on. Sure she can take a lot of the blame as she should but people put her on some pedestal before she started, she was never going to live up to certain expectations, no one does.

THIS.

Most were thought out critiques.....but as this says, some decided 2-3 weeks into her run "She should be fired! bring back JFP and Pratt! their ratings were through the roof with the vents and stunts!! She doesn't get Y&R!" It got old for me real quick. now, IMPO she hasn't written well in many aspects, but things are turning a bit. but...you always have that small percentage that will bitch no matter WHAT is on the screen. they just like to complain.

I was on vacation for 3 weeks and DVR'd all of the Y&R episodes.  I am "almost" caught up with my binge watching and want to say I'm enjoying every single episode.  I did read the spoilers while away, so kept up with the current episodes that way.  I just saw the "new" twins yesterday and that was kind of hard to absorb.  I'm loving Dina!!!!

    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
    • This isn't a bad episode, but I'm finding myself not as engaged. Must be the lack of Eva and Leslie. No Nicole, Dani.
    • Yes!! I didn't realize it before, and had a busy weekend, so wasn't here much

Wow, what happened to AMC this week? Crashing from 8.4 to 6.6.. I mean, I know they used to go up and down much more than they do today, but this seems like a harsh drop (from 7th to 13th). And nice to see Y&R's first weeks
