Most of the characters in GC have skated on paying for crimes. They have to, otherwise all the characters would be in jail. All soaps do this and it benefits Devon & Hillary too. Hillary wan't charged with drugging Cane, and Devon wasn't charged with driving recklessly (150 miles an hour).

 

Neil's character has already taken a huge hit. He was patriarch of the Winters family for decades,but when MAB  connected Devon to Kay and left him a huge fortune it's dislodged Neil. Devon's the one who can make things happen for the Winter's family these days. Neil can give fatherly advice, but the power has moved to Devon. Neil is no longer like Jack & Victor with their families. It's sad.

Neil was never like Jack and Victor. He never had any power outside of the love and affection his children had for him and whatever power that had over their behavior. He's still got that. He lost nothing with devon's inheritance.

Seriously, Craig is hot and from his short scene a good actor. I always find it interesting when these bit parts have better actors than the parts where there's this huge audition and the actor turns out to be crap and unattractive.

 

He's ambiguously brown so he could be related to anyone! Yay diversity!

That's not true. Before Neil was very involved in helping Devon plan his future. Be it school or trying to get him set up in business. Neil was a mentor to Devon. Then Tucker & Kay took over, and now the money. Neil may have not had his own company but he was clearly the patriarch of that family before Devon was hooked to Tucker.

Okay haven't watched in a long while. What did Hilary do and why is Devon pissed at her?

Neil is Devon's father. Guiding and paying for college is what father's do.

 

Neil never helped devon set up any business. Stop with the fan fiction. Neil wanted Devon to follow in his foot steps and go into business. Devon went into music against Neil's wishes. Devon worked for Tucker then Kay. Then set up his own record company with an investment from Abby. Then he went to work for Neil at Jabot for about 6 months. Then got his inheritance and stilled worked for Jabot until Jack fired him. 

 

Either way, Neil is still devon's father dishing out advice. Which was the only thing he's done for Devon since Devon became an adult. 

So today was the big day where Devon remembered? Wow, what a letdown. How boring.....

I admit I was only half listening because my volume was turned down so low but I thought Michael knew him from law school (maybe they're both alumni who graduated different years?). 

 

Michael mentioned that supposedly Gloria never liked Craig so I'm assuming that Michael and Craig know each other for a number of years.

It would be nice if we see Craig more frequently because he is indeed quite nice looking! And that connection I mentioned might add a nice twist for both characters.

Devon asked Mariah to take over hosting GC Buzz after firing Hilary for doing tabloid-like interviews. 

 

So, Mariah hosts a show on fashion with Chloe and Chelsea's designs.  Mariah models one, struts down the red carpet and falls on her face.  Through Mariahs flashbacks, it's revealed that Hil sabatoged her (there's still no proof of this, FYI).  Mariah gets revenge by changing Hil's text on her TelePrompTer at a benefit for the Winters/Abbot foundation.

 

So, Devon confronts her at the benefit then takes off in an expensive sports car.  Of course, he wrecks it and ends up in the hospital with short term memory loss due to a traumatic brain injury.  The doctors told Hil and his fam not to upset him, so they didn't tell him how/why the accident happened, and he found out today with Mariah filling him in, and his remembering.  So, he's pissed she didn't tell him why the accident happened and what she did to Mariah.

I don't remember Daniel's porn story being much of anything except a way to break up lily and Daniel cause Dru had died which meant the reason for their marriage  (dru vs phyllis) no longer existed. They moved him on to Amber to play Amber vs Phyllis. Did anything big happen to him other than that divorce? I remember there being some sort of danger he couldn't protect lily from so he took her home to neil but I don't remember the danger amounting to anything.

I would rather have Chuck Pratt anyday over SalUGH Sussman. Pratt at least kept me entertaimed. This show is the worst i have ever seen even worse then MAB.
