Anyone who disagrees with MTS's comments about the JFP era sets needs a reality check. They are hideous and bland and her GH aesthetic to a T.

And of course she kept mum about it - JFP would have fired her in a second for such dissension because she can't handle criticism at all.

Jill FP is a "mean Girl"  She basically career-wise executes actors.  No, wait.  Actresses she doesn't feel anything for or who don't kiss her a**.  That's why no one speaks out against her.  I hope she looks in the mirror sometime soon and figures out she's not a part of the desirable demographic and her ideas and methods stink to high heavens.

Could you possibly be speaking of "Good girls are boring" JFP? After all those years in the business, she never figured out soaps need ingenues. And tentpole characters. And solid good characters to balance the evil. Maybe good characters aren't as exciting, but they're quite necessary.

JFP said good girls are boring. I disagreed with her when she said it and I still do. GH lost some of its soul when they killed off Emily and Georgie. They helped balance the mob turds.

Laura was a good girl before Luke raped her, and I never considered her boring. Good girls can be written with the many facets that make any characters interesting. It was a lack of imagination/creativity on JFP's part that she could not see that.

Edited: Apologies for the GH-centric nature of my comments. I came here following a notification link and forgot this is a Y&R thread.

LMBO. Never gonna happen.

So to the show.

Chelsea is glued to Nick's ass while he bonds with Christian without Connor anywhere in sight. That's a very bad look.

The allergy thing is silly. why would Nick think to ask. why would dylan and Sharon think to tell.

Devon finally fired Hilary. The ranting and raving viewers who want her "put in her place" finally got satisfaction. Now what? Mariah gets her job. And then? There is no story without Hilary.

Ugh, Nick. UGH. Acting like a caveman again, instantly blaming Sharon. Of course, Morrow came alive with the baby and he really is trying to have a connection with MCE. But what was that sh!t about him changing his mind about Dylan and Sharon (for no reason) and then because of the video he suddenly decides to hate them again? Utter crap! Not to mention that he didn't seem to give two fυcks about Leah going to GC Buzz!

Kevin. As always, ew. And now he fully looks like a walking corpse, like an extra from The Vampire Diaries gone wrong. I like Chloe a lot currently.

YES for Mariah and Hilary drama. I do wonder if she'll convince Devon to let her keep her job.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
