It's not surprising Tracey E. Bregman is back on recurring, however this time I'm afraid she won't get half as much airtime as she got back when she was originally recurring. For some unspecified reason, Chuckie isn't able to write for a woman like Lauren. But maybe it is for the best.

with all the drama going on in TEB's personal life, it's possible she wanted to go recurring. As far as Lauren, she fell into Lame category - just like attempts to free Lily from old Grane, Lauren is stuck with Michael.

OMFG at Victoria needing the advice of a man on how to do business.  She's been an ON-SCREEN business executive for 21 years now but it is Luca who knows better how to deal with the issue. GMAFB. And GTF off somebody else's chair, Luca. Jesus Christ. Making himself so comfortable in another person's office. The smaller Victor office makes it feel really claustrophobic. Why do they have to f uck with the classic sets? LEAVE IT ALONE. It was the only recognizable part of the show left.

Travis is so good, he manages to squeeze a little bit of life and chemistry out of Amelia Heinle.

Sharon/Sully/baby switch/paternity... so, so so so so so SO bad. What an epic, disastrous mess.

Kevin, die.

Totally agree with all of this. Plus I'll add my disgust at Victor kissing the prison doctor. We all knew it was coming, but so gross. If I have to see Victor sexing up a woman 30 years younger than himself I want it to be a gold digger getting her hooks into him, but of course EB would never allow that.

There was a SOD blind item recently mentioning that "a beloved vet had been dropped from contract to recurring with no future appearances scheduled", I wonder now if that was about Bregman. I knew she had some intense personal drama recently but Bregman was on recurring status for several years beforehand. It's probably best Pratt hasn't written too much for either Lauren and Jill as they would end up being tainted too.

Victor and the doctor are putrid to watch. Braeden is 75 years old now his mojo days are wayyyy beyond him.

The show has been trying to pair Victor with much younger women for DECADES now and it always fails and they always have to give it up because of negative fan reaction. Why do they keep insisting?

Absolutely yucky and disgusting. It's like watching Pycelle pawing Cersei or Sansa. It's horrific.

Billy is SO smart: "What do woman want?" LMAO!

Gina did amazing work and, although a stupid idea to kiss in public, that ending was nice.

Lily, die.

So touching how Summer loves her Grandpa so much.  And keeps reminding everyone how great he is.  Just so touching.  Everyone has turned their back on her Grandpa.  The writing is just so imaginative and amazing and creative.  She's never said that before.

Makes me vomit what this show has become.  And I didn't watch for about 4 to 5 years.  Just started again 3 years ago - mildly entertaining at the time.  The past couple of years, it's one disaster/big storyline after another that nothing comes out of.  Plane crash.  Newman Towers are on fire and no one can get in or out - yet Ian and Patty come and go at leisure.  Only one helicopter in town.  Underground collapses.  A power outage of some kind or rain or snow storm - can't even remember.  But nothing ends up happening anyway.

At least Melissa Ordway looks like she'll have a job on the Price is Right.

This entire Victor story now certainly stinks like [!@#$%^&*] to high heaven! I don't even understand the beginning basics of it to say the least. I know Braeden has an ego he likes stoked, but Victor isn't even written as the tragic antihero anymore hasn't been in years. Victor is now evil, unsympathetic, manipulative, and very irritating to watch. If this is the way Braeden wants Victor to be then Braeden has got to have dementia because this is just impossible and implausible to watch. Victor torturing his love of his life and his children out of revenge is horrendous to watch. Only a nasty brain tumor(it's been hinted) or an a very evil doppelganger of Victor could get Victor out of this one. I suppose that when Y&R's series finale will air the last scene will be of a 90 year old Victor keeling over and yelling "Rosebud!"

Adam and Chelsea are now officially the most tortured couple in daytime history right ahead of Eden&Cruz and Luis&Sheridan.

Summer going to see Victor in jail and then begging for everyone to forgive him really, really, really makes me wish they had simply left her as really being Jack's daughter.

    • Kelly was a horribly-written character overall. Just think, two Emmy-winning actresses (including Cynthia Watros, Nina, GH, and Annie, GL) couldn't make it work. Pamela is campy, but so are Dani, Vanessa, Leslie, and Joey. And, I don't want to be too judgy because my love for camp changes depending on the show. OLTL, DAYS, and some eras of GH had me rolling with the camp. However, Passions was overkill and I hated it. And, here, I can take it or leave it. It's ok in small doses (note to RC). I see this show as more of a serious drama.
    • I think one of the reasons that pilot didn't get picked up was because Vicki L was associated more with being Thelma Harper and playing older then she was playing her own age.  It was a blessing it didn't get picked up, or we would have been deprived of the syndicated era of Mama's Family.   Also, worth noting a Pre Night Court Marsha Warfield and pre Perfect Strangers Rebecca Arthur in the cast.  All talented women, but stuck with a bad script. And the other pilot had a pre Fran Fine.. Fran Drescher as the best friend.  I think that pilot might have been picked up if Karen Valentine and Fran Drescher switched roles.
    • So, on rewatch....did Rick and Mindy never have sex?
    • Cady had a fairly posh accent or manner as Rosanna - the character was a 180 from Dixie when she went to ATWT, and it was a huge success initially. As someone mostly only familiar with the nagging, miserable or clueless Dixie of the mid-late '90s and early 2000s it was what convinced me Cady could act. I thought she was incredible in her first run. Later, in future stints, her hair and story and performances were all over the place but a lot of that was down to the show for me. She brought some of Rosanna back with her to Dixie in her ill-fated return and a lot of people didn't like it, which I understood but I did think the character needed some change. I think she's had a little bit of the same persona and arch performance in every role she's played since, including Jennifer Horton at DAYS or Kelly at Y&R, who later became a maniac and was easily the worst work I've ever seen Cady do. It has kind of infected her overall mannerisms, I'll allow that, but I do think she brought Dixie back together as herself while still evolving the character when she returned to AMC again in 2012-13. Nonetheless, for me the upshot is that this is a character where Cady's kookier recent performance style suits the role. But I can understand it grating for people.
    • Yeah, Loretta Swit's passing stings. My late dad LOVED the show (he died last November) and watched it religiously. In first run and repeats.  And I was literally born the day after the show's premiere, so I grew up with it! I know many loved later, softer Margaret, but I loved Early Hot Lips. In real life, I'm all for less misogyny, but to me, the early years of M*A*S*H were just funnier. May Loretta Swit rest in peace. Thanks for all the memories connected to my dad!

    • I agree that she isn't Dixie or Rosanna and shouldn't be acting like either. I just found it strange that she had a naive Southern character and a wealthy urbane character in the past and didn't experiment with accents before (unless I missed it, correct me if I'm wrong). She used to do improv characters on YouTube. She's probably doing something similar here.

    • And here I thought I'd never think about Lauren Tewes again after her brief appearance in Twin Peaks Season 3.
    • I may be the single person who does not mind Transatlantic Campy Pamela. I think it perfectly suits this sort of Absolutely Fabulous-esque supporting character she's playing much more than it did when Cady tried weird and often broad stuff at AMC* or Y&R, or later stints at ATWT. She's not Dixie and she's not trying to be. I will freely admit some of the other chances she took at other shows often came off stiff, hammy or downright mortifying (Kelly Andrews, come on down). (* - and I say that as one of the few who was somewhat into Cady trying to make Dixie more cosmopolitan in the Rosanna Cabot mold in mid-2000s AMC, just to liven the character up again)
    • There’s absolutely nothing exciting happening storyline wise but I’m always happy to see the vets on my screen so I’ll take what I can get. It’s also just nice to see them all dressed up in the same room, it always gives classic Y&R vibes. The best part? No Phyllis.
