This show has wasted so many talented actresses. Yet they keep the boring new guy that gets no airtime. Always. Remember Quinn, Vivian's son? Now we have Flynn. I mean ... WHY? I'd rather watch Chrishell Stause, Melissa Archer or Kassie DePaiva.

The show is all over the place. One day's the wedding. One day's the Grambo shootout. One day's snoozeville with Maggie, Summer, Lani, etc. all on and wasting my time. I miss when I liked Maggie and gave a damn about her.

 

I will say the balance seems better, though too much focus on some and too less on others (swap Brady/Summer/Theresa for Eric/Jen) but the show just comes off as a mess to me. I'll take this mess over Higley's though.

You know that Marie Wilson is gonna be Melissa Archer 2.0 & be out within a year. So for that huge possibility alone, I am glad she aint Melissa or Sarah.

I don't get DAYS with their mentality of hiring former soap actors who were marginally successful in their other roles, putting them in half-assed dead-end stories in Salem, and expecting it to flourish. I could understand if they hired La Lucci, Zimmer, poached Melody, etc. etc. etc., but people like Archer, Cosgrove, Chrishelle, and especially Wilson aren't gonna bring in a fanbase who are watching them for them. 

When has the show said they expect these actors to bring in fanbases? Since there are so few soaps left most of these actors are probably just happy to be getting work.

Agreed and especially if the RUMOR I saw on a site not allowed here proves true about Cosgrove's come back, Im gonna be laughing my ass off with stupidity

if she were Melissa or Sarah, she'd likely have a better shot at being a keeper. The show seems to be good with legacy characters but terrible with new females. The Daniel angle left the character dead on arrival.

They got rid of Quinn after a few months so I'm not sure what your point is?

 

I think their point is that they brought Quinn BACK. He was part of the group canned in 2011 only to be brought back right away as a spa owner (wasn't he previously Chloe's pimp?) in a "story" that amounted to nothing.

Yep Quinn Left in like July August. Came back in Sept and was gone in Dec. bad planning

Seeing Jade and Ciara together, the actress playing Jade should've been cast as Ciara.  She hasn't done any dramatic scenes yet but she's way better in 'everyday scenes' and I'm sure she'll be better in dramatic scenes too.   I say make Jade go away for a few months then bring her back as Ciara.

They did that before, Rachel Melvin played fake Georgia then Mandy Musgrave was cast as Chelesa only to be replaced by Melvin

I hate "Thrady". A happy Theresa is a boring Theresa. With any luck she'll sabotage herself over Summer.
