I'm totally fine with newbies, but the show's balance is terrible, there are too many past characters completely ignored, current characters are ignored, storylines are abysmal .... the show is a mess. I just have a hair-trigger reaction to the "another newbie?!!?" stuff when it's pretty clear this is someone coming in to serve a plot function, a la Marie Wilson or Alicia Leigh Willis, as opposed to a Jordan or Paige or Aiden.
