Thanks rhino we agree on something. Burgess played it very subtle, gentle and tender. David Tom did not work as Billy this go around. He stunk and had terrible chemistry. I always likes him but it didn't work. Jill made the right decision. It was classic y and r and btw I wish they put Beth maitland on contract she is excellent.

Please soap gods, no. Don't make this awful situation worse. Hillary does not need a baby and the show doesn't need another baby. (BTW, where's Moses?) I hate how the show is trying to make this couple romantic like today when Devon brought Hillary roses, they did a role playing game and shmoopy music was played throughout. Hillary cheating on her blind husband and Devon betraying his blind father is not okay even if what they have is "true love". Devon was talking about traveling the world and yeah, they should get their sketchy asses on a plane. I hear Liberia is nice this time of year.

So they left off with Neil knocking on Hillary's hotel room door and this could be really good. Devon should hide in the closet and maybe have Cane open the door and find him. I'd pay to see the facial expression on Devon in that case. Or maybe Devon will just stand there and Neil won't know because he's blind. How humiliating. Probably what will happen though is that Hillary will just pretend she's not in. In which case I hope Neil decides to wait for her, lol.

Actually, he had great chemistry with his on screen mother Jill.. on screen brother Jack.. with Chelsea.. Michael/Lauren.. and especially Chelsea. The only person he didn't have chemistry with was Amelia's Victoria.

I was reading an interview that departing head-writer Shelly Altman gave last fall when she was starting. What I found most interesting was her thoughts on Hilary and her story. She basically said that she loved the character..and planned to interact her with other characters.. and mentioned she would still interact with Neil in a non-romantic way. I did notice that Hilary was interacting with Jack/Jill... while Lily tried to keep Devon and Hilary from dating by fixing him up with that Esmeralda character... then all of a sudden, things shifted and hilary/Neil became romantic and got married. It was too sudden.. and I wonder if perhaps JFP or Sony forced the pairing.

Also, it seems like JFP wants a writer that shares her vision.. and I'm wondering if even JFP knows what that vision is.

Very true about DT. The only person he didn't have chem with was the absolute weakest link and he gets tossed? This is why we are down to 4 and only 1 (Bold) is at least trying to prove that soaps still belong on the air!

I can't believe Melissa Claire Egan has been on three years now. Chelsea has been an up and down character. I have always enjoyed. She's been nominated five times for an Emmy and never wins. U think she has more chemistry with burgess then Amelia. How do u think MCE compares with Amelia?

Jonny you can go somewhere with that mess. Just like in the past, David Tom was EXCELLENT with Jess Walton. NOBODY who has played her child, whether it be Phillip or Billy, has had as wonderful chemistry with her as David Tom. Also, he started at the climax of a highly emotional story and he did a great job. Plus, he had great chemistry with Liz Hendrickson and Melissa Claire Egan. He was doing FINE.

David Tom worked in the 90s as Billy but he didn't translate and Burgess really slipped in. I honestly think Cady McClain is better as Kelly than Tom as Billy. McClain is actually getting better as Kelly I feel like she is going to break and go cray cray on Jack. I love her friendship with Lily

Burgess really slipped in? Name one scene he did that has been memorable in any way? Compare his grief over Delia's death (aka non existent) to David Tom's heart-wrenching performance. Burgess Jenkins is in no way playing Billy. This is not the character that David Tom and Billy Miller made a success, not in any way.

Please, Miller's portrayal sn't THAT hard to surpass. David Tom did that easily

He is way too old for Billy and in no way shape or form is he Billy. This was an awful recast who didn't even audition for the role and was just handed the role for some unknown bizzare reason.
