That scene with Katie crying tears for Ridge was so stupid. How can anyone even fall for that coma inducing character. Surely he will facilitate her annual heart attack any day now and put her into that very state. My god I hate him.

I'm ready for Eric and Donna round x but seeing as both characters are less relevant than ever there's not really any use for it. Donna's everlasting hope for a reunion is kind of endearing in a way.

When did Katie find out about Ridge and Caroline? I was surprised with how much she was telling Donna. I swear those two repeated the same conversation for 3 straight segments

Yes, why is Muriel, a model allowed at these Forrester corporate meetings?

Ridge told Katie on Friday, Oct 16 that Caroline had a crush on him, and that he considered using that crush to get Caroline to continue to team with him as the "dream team" Eric wanted to run Forrester. That was also when Katie told Ridge she wasn't OK with him using Caroline that way, since it seemed like a Bill-type tactic to her that a "good" man like him just wouldn't do. (I guess she doesn't know all the times Ronn Moss' Ridge tried to stab his own family or Brooke in the back).

Of course, even when he told her he had ended things with Caroline, he still hasn't told Katie about his kissing Caroline yet, hence her telling Donna it was just an innocent crush that was over and done with. Wonder who will get to break the news to her? Ridge? Rick? Maya?

I liked Maya when she delivered the line ''the guilt is written all over her face'', but the actress is a bit too much a bobblehead doll with the way she moves her head all over the place.

Thanks, I spent way too long on it lol.

I've never seen or heard of him before B&B but he's so blah and shows no emotion. And his husky, smokey, whispery voice annoys me to no end.

Welcome to B&B! It felt like Hope and Quinn were having the same conversation about the baby for two weeks straight.

I was waiting for someone to bring it as I'm partly annoyed by it as well, but at the same cherish the old-school soap vibe. It's a matter of clever dialogue wiritng to make repetive scenes sound slightly different. And I think the B&B writers as of late do a pretty good job. I really enjoy watching the show and it gives me some 80s/90s feel in regards to the length of the scenes and storylines these days...

As for Thorsten Kaye. I REALLLY like as Ridge. His speech, mannerisms etc. are spot on. I can get why people are over him because of his AMC frontburner tenure ut on B&B he is supporting lead and definitely a huge improvement over Ronn Moss. They just need to groom Kaye WAYYY more. I still don't likethe scruffy worn-out. The impeccable playboy look was one of Ronn Moss' greater achievements as Ridge and as a long-time viewer I can only accept Ridge that way.

Unpopular opinion ahead: I thought the actress playing Maya has stepped it up a lot this week and was much better than Lynsey Godfrey (Caroline) who seems unable to play sublety. It's not for a lack of trying but she did not convince me in Caroline's scenes with Rick where she hid her attraction RIdge.

    • I don't think Chelsea has a true label just yet. She's just finding out she has an interest in women. I think the awkwardness is aligned with the character as we've seen. This is the fool who keeps filming her family when embarrassing things happen and live streaming it. I actually think it's refreshing she isn't just jumping into a relationship  and that they're playing the beats of her trying to figure out who she is.
    • Wow, do I agree with you. Chelsea is coming off as ridiculous. All she does is look for a woman to date while not caring about her business at all. That she's bi is great, but they're not writing her like she's bi. She seems to be lesbian. Yeah, I know -- "no labels." I just don't find the writing for her story to be anything other than awkward.   -- I hope we get some diagnosis finality with Bill's trip to the hospital. I don't want to see these trips to the ER every other day. -- Naomi is going to blame herself for Bill's health problems? GMAB. -- Ashley doesn't read as a real nurse in the slightest. -- Another day, another rinse and repeat conversation with Derek and Ashley. YAWN. -- Kat is making mistakes, but she's fun to watch and listen to, regardless. -- I still think the Joey/Vanessa/Doug gambling story sucks. I know Doug is deeply in debt, but I don't like him acting this meek and submissive.  -- I'm not sure what Joey's plan was from the beginning, or why he had to seduce Vanessa at all to get his way. I'm not sure what Vanessa ever saw in Joey -- why doesn't he give her the ick? -- I'm fine with a story where Doug and Vanessa take out Joey.  -- The fades to commercials were pretty bad today.
    •   Victoria's house (that she long ago lived in with Billy) burned down (I think Aunt Jordan set it ablaze?). Victoria briefly moved into the ranch after the fire, with Claire, Johnny and Katie, I think? Mariah and Tessa and baby Aria had been living in the tack house but they bought a house we've never seen and moved there. Victoria, Claire, and Cole then moved into the tack house as soon as Teriah left. I guess Victoria's children Johnny and Katie would live with Victoria at the tack house eventually? But Johnny and Katie went to boarding school during the school year. Not sure if we'll see Johnny and Katie for the summer vacation or where they would live.
    • Victoria’s previous house burned down.    And I know why characters frequent Crimson Lights 3 times a day for brownies, muffins and empty mugs:   THERE’S PCP IN EVERYTHING.
    • Today was a good episode, and the week for that matter. I think they've also done a better job with background music. The scenes in todays episode weren't as silent as they usually are in the background and it was noticeable. I think the show has found its groove well and I'm still invested.
    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
