I have the day off from work and I'm supposed to be running errands. Tell myself I'll watch DAYS for 10 minutes and then get back to work. Then I see "Kristen and Susan face off" in the episode description. [!@#$%^&*].

ETA: omg this is awesome. Can't they just do an entire hour of just Kristen/Susan scenes? Eileen Davidson is hilarious.

Can we stop with everytime Dr. Douche and Shawn Christian are mentioned that we get attacked for our opinion? Thank you.

Anyway ... Susan/Kristen/Stefano was indeed gold. I was fanboying out the last two days, I won't lie. I love having Susan back but I'm also glad it's a short visit. She works in spurts as much as I love her. I absolutely love we have her at John's bedside. I can't believe we're getting scenes with them (well, her, of course). Poor Drake misses everything on this show, LOL.

It brings back such fun memories of the old DAYS. Vampires, mean mean mean, evil ... I'm in heaven.

Kristen and Sami is always fun. I loved Kristen's reaction to the portrait. I also won't lie in that I'm kinda over Kristen. Sorry. I said it. I love her and Davidson, she got me into DAYS 100% and I've adored Susan's return (one of the best returns handled IMO, scenes with all of the key people she needed to be in scenes with), but yeah, the smug bitchiness, etc. I don't know. Kristen's return this time just hasn't worked for me. And why couldn't Louise Sorel and Vivian have been kept around all these years? Damn.

When will the writers ever realize that EVERY storyline for Dannifer DOES NOT WORK. This JJ/Paige/Eve story is totally awful, IMO. JJ/Paige were sweet today but one sweet scene doesn't make up for my complete lack of interest in them, and in Paige. I don't recognize JJ either.

I liked Abby's text to Ben and his smile over it. I like James Read but I can do without Clyde, TBH. I just don't care. They're burning too slow with him. Why do I feel like this is all a take on the Curtis/Billie/Austin story except that Jordan and Ben didn't fall out of Kate's womb.

Another enjoyable episode.

To echo everyone, I loved everything Susan/Kristen/Stefano. I couldn't stop laughing when Kristen told Stefano that his baby mama was there.

So Clyde will kill EJ and Stefano will be blamed, right? Its hard to imagine EJ leaving in a bodybag, since there hasn't been a return from the dead since RoboJohn and that was 7/8 years ago and I don't think this show would close the door on James Scott. So perhaps a faked death?

I don't have a problem with Eve going after JJ and dissing Jack - I'm enjoying the storyline. I just wish the actress playing Paige wasn't death warmed up.

Kristen taunting Sami was the most alive Eileen has been since her return - she gave me goosebumps when she told Sami "sweet dreams"

    • Uh, yeah, huh?!!! Seriously, that was a brilliant line but its acumen is strictly from how hilarious. We imagine Joss in Carly's kitchen breaking the news that she's realized she's gay & Carly is unconcerned & then drops that it's Emma she's in love with ... time comes to a screeching halt!!! I think Moss would likely be thrown hard against the wall. Can you imagine Carly & Robin as mothers of the brides together?
    • @DRW50 Thanks for these. I had a procedure on my eyes and was just okayed for limited screen time the other day, but it is in short periods until Tuesday, when the doctor clears me.  I'll be adding in bits here and there, but Hoppers will be "hopping" after that. Upcoming: Rest in Peace, Denise Alexander, Ruth Buzzi and Priscilla Pointer Updating:   Max Gail, @Xanthe -- Will Lyman, who was lost in the shuffle a year ago, but his update from last year will be typed up;  New: Michelle Hurd and Shanola Hampton and others I'll b updating the edit-able profiles, too.

The shoulders and sleeves are too tight. He'd benefit from a larger size. The yellow arrows show where the shoulder cut should actually be placed in my opinion. I don't mind the granpa fashion per se, I just have an OCD with sizes LOL
    • Today May 11, 2025, Pope Leo briefly addressed the crowd in the square.  He sang the prayer to Mary and then said:   Dear brothers and sisters, The immense tragedy of the Second World War ended eighty years ago, on 8 May, after having claimed sixty million victims. In today’s dramatic scenario of a piecemeal third world war, as Pope Francis stated many times, I too address the world’s leaders, repeating the ever-timely appeal: “Never again war!”. I carry in my heart the sufferings of the beloved Ukrainian people. May everything possible be done to reach an authentic, just and lasting peace, as soon as possible. Let all the prisoners be freed and the children return to their own families. I am deeply saddened by what is happening in the Gaza Strip: may there be an immediate ceasefire! Let humanitarian aid be provided to the stricken civil population, and let all the hostages be freed. On the other hand, I have welcomed with satisfaction the announcement of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, and I hope that through the upcoming negotiations, a lasting accord may be reached soon. https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/angelus/2025/documents/20250511-regina-caeli.html
    • Lol! I'm quite sure it would.
    • But that is pretty much situation normal for all soaps. They do not tend to continue to show things like surgical scars. They also play fast & loose with hospital procedures.
    • re: prior two posts about Trump's new opulent plane contrasted with utter starvation in Gaza... Trump and Netanyahu are giving "Let them eat cake".  And it's horrific. In 2013, Pope Francis removed a bishop from running the Limburg Germany diocese because he was constructing an opulent 31-million-euro building. This is from Reuters obit of Francis: https://www.reuters.com/world/obituary-pope-francis-shook-up-church-with-simplicity-raising-conservative-ire-2025-04-21/ From the start, Francis sent clear signals to priests and bishops about the type of Church he wanted. He said there was no room for "careerists or social climbers" among the clergy, told cardinals they should not live "like princes," and said the Church should not "dissect theology" in lush salons while there were poor people around the corner. "If investments in banks fall, it is a tragedy and people say 'what are we going to do?' but if people die of hunger, have nothing to eat or suffer from poor health, that's nothing. This is our crisis today. A Church that is poor and for the poor has to fight this mentality," he said early in his papacy. -- Pope Francis stood up for the poor, the unhoused, the migrants of all faiths.  He lived simply and ordered that when he died, that he wished to be interred in a simple wooden coffin. I sincerely hope that the new pope Leo will follow Francis' example.
