A bit of both I'd say. I don't think the writers really developed EJ beyond Sami, I don't see where he could go without her being a variable. True, they put him with Nicole, but I don't think James was pleased with that development. And so it's all for the best.

She was someone who wrote for DAYS for a brief period (and when I say "brief," I think we're talking three scripts, tops) and who became a very controversial figure around these parts -- mostly b/c, the bulk of her claims about the show were proven untrue, invalid and in several cases, downright inflammatory. In fact, merely talking about her is verboten -- and I suspect Toups or another mod is eliminating these posts about her even as I correct this one. But that's why this thing -- [s.W.S.N.B.N.] -- always appears instead of her actual name.

Soaps tend to attract the oddest of people.

I think it's more the whole Drama genre as a whole or the entertainment business
