It wouldn't shock me if Ridge had a "great love" in Paris and she shows up in a year or two with his teenager. It's been done too much on this show lately, but that won't stop anyone.

Katie certainly isn't "pure" after what she did to Bridget, but she's no where near on Brooke's level. Yet. I've literally lost count of the number of married or engaged men have Brooke has gone after, but at least three of them belonged to her own daughters.

It's like comparing one of the kids on Friday Night Tykes to a player in the NFL. Katie isn't even in Brooke's league, but I will enjoy it if she tries to catch up over the next couple of years. I think Katie/Brooke could be a good rivalry, if Katie isn't written a little stronger.

I think Katie and Liam should have hooked up for awhile. That would have pissed off both Bill and Hope.

Based on the spike in postings here - I think B&B hit another homerun with the Ridge/Katie/Brooke + Bill/Quinn adult set. Before Dollar Bill, B&B didn't have a single alpha male, now they have two and that is making a world of difference. I loathed RM's Ridge, but I unexpectedly like TK as Ridge.

Let's not forget having a baby by and or with some of these men. Eric her former FIL. DeCon her former SIL. Don't know if Oliver counts but there was sex and a prego scare involved and HE was her daughters BF.

After the conversations Katie and Liam have been having lately, I'd like to see them become enemies especially if $Bil convinces Liam to become his inside the company saboteur.

Uh... that was it for the big S&M scene between Bill and Quinn? I know Daytime can't show more than a peep of skin nowadays, but lightly rolling that teeny tiny sword necklace over Quinn's cheek is hardly wielding a whip!

Please tell me that Quinn is not going to fall for that ass-smelling idiot Bill! I'm actually less grossed out by the fact that she confided in her son than in the idea she might still be carrying a torch for him. I like Quinn hating and manipulating everybody! BTW, Rena Sofer has the most beautiful eyes.

Ugh. Hope's e-nun-ci-a-ting boyfriend is still there?! I think it's clear that she has more chemistry with dope-on-a-rope Liam than she does with that controlling, high-strung Wyatt. And surprise! He snuck into the Forrester jet so that he could monitor Hope's every move share crêpes with his shmoopsy moopsy overlooking the Seine!

WTF with Hope tricking her mom to help out Katie and Ridge? And she wants Brooke back with Bill, what?! Anything to fit the current plotline, eh Bradley? (Even though KKL and DD still have loads of chemistry).

Ridge is starting to get that glazed-eye look after spending all of 5 minutes with Katie. First of all, she doesn't want to put out. Because she doesn't want to hurt her sister. All this hand-wringing and exposition... and she just wants to lay her head on his shoulder. LOL something tells me that Ridge's currently dormant libido is going to quit him soon if Katie doesn't stop talking about the guilt. And then... Quinn! Have you met Ridge?

    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
    • Oddly.. Chase and Steve seem to have both vanished from the canvas in December so the Estelle return loses impact when two of her kids stop appearing shortly after her return (and I assume TR leaves in early 1986 as well). The Steve recast doesn't work... but it's odd that he has a long scene with Teri with Cagney looking jealous.. when the majority of his time on the show previously was a relationship and engagement to Stephanie (who he barely has a scene with in the episodes I see). Your idea for Wendy/Bela/Stephanie sounds just like what Ryan's Hope did with Michael/Kim/Rae... and considering Louise Shaffer was playing Rae and Stephanie.. it would have been a lousy redux of a superior story on another soap (that had months of build-up) I think Quinn becoming assistant to Stephanie was Mayer/Braxton... but not 100 % sure. I don't know if Mayer/Braxton was setting up Sarah as a bad girl disguised as a good girl.. but the actress (Joyner) was playing the scenes in that manner.. and Tomlin wisely tapped into that when he took over.
    • She’s such a caricature - which is a shame because I think the actress is capable of so much more.   I don’t know why Cady often feels like she has overcompensated in her performances. She already proved she can play much more than just Dixie Cooley during her first stint at ATWT (her best acting era). Her performances in various roles since then have been quite strange at times.
