He's pretty natural, which wasn't something I always felt about Chandler, so he wins there. He doesn't feel like a recast.

I want to comment on other stuff, but I'm still feeling my way through the show, figuring out what's going on (I honestly can't remember the last time I picked up a soap -- possibly OLTL over 6 years ago). I am, however, glad to see Lucas on today. What exactly is BD's status with the show right now?

I like Guy Wilson. I do LOL at his last name being the couple's name. He seems far more alert and present than Chandler was, especially towards the end. Man, I couldn't wait for Chandler to leave, he was badly phoning it in. And I agree with AMS that he seems pretty natural (Chandler almost always seemed awkward nearly all of the time but I think he was trying to play Will as virtually uncomfortabl with drama or trouble or his messy family but it came off horribly) and that he doesn't at all feel like a recast. I think the character needed a bit of a fresh start, CM's Will had been through a lot.

I believe BD is still recurring but they're apparently going to be using him a little bit more than they have. How much I guess remains to be seen, lol.

Glad to see more Rory/JJ. I'm so glad the show has well-casted supporting characters like JJ, Bev, Anne, etc. It makes the show feel so much more full and more of a community, something a few years ago it wasn't feeling so much like, IMO. Everything felt fractured and isolated. I feel like we see so many people interact and stories overlap.

It's such a better show.

Really looking forward to reading your take on the show, and I hope you enjoy it and feel like you made a good decision in choosing to check Days out!

Also hoping you check out yesterday's show; I have a feeling this Abby-EJ affair is going to run and run...

Wilson seems fine so far but to me the important thing is that the character desperately needed a change. Massey had been phoning it in for so long and it really hurt the character. Wilson should be fine as long as he actually shows up and engages with his scene mates. Freddie seemed comfortable with him in the brief screen time they had.

I hate EJ, I always have, but I gotta admit I kinda like him and Abby, which is weird since I've never liked her much either. Maybe it's a two wrongs making a right sort of thing. I dunno but I definitely smell a torrid affair brewing. I doubt this will be a one time thing.

Finally caught up Mon-Wed. Those EJ/Abby scenes really bought the sex factor but that awful music detracted from it. I liked Gabbi/Sonny providing situational irony in the cross scenes as a foil.

Guy Wilson seems alive and interested in his brief scenes, so that is +100% over Chandler. He also films much better than he photographs, so that is a big relief on a superficial note. They introduced him cleverly by allowing him to be reactionary to Gabbi and Sonny driving their scenes, so verdict is still out for me, but it looks promising.

Jade Harlow as Sheryl Connors piqued my interest more. She has a very natural vibe to her I liked. I'm actually liking Bryan Datillo this round time - he is much more restrained in his acting choices, plus sharing scenes with Koslow only helps.

i loved the Victor/Marlena scenes, brief as they were. Marlena not forgiving Victor made me happy.

Maggie clearly gets a buzz from AA meetings - it's like free shots to talk down to be people and be harsh. But I'm here for Theresa and Brady - She could destroy him in ways Kristen never could/would.

Orangutaniel fighting crime in Salem rolleyes.gif Might as well give him spandex tights, a mask and a cape...

Well for one, she isn't lumbered down by a loud overacting pirate with anger management issues who defines her existence.

Just because she doesn't have a story doesn't make her uninteresting. She is a whole character now, not half of a supercouple that only exists in a bubble - that's so much more interesting to me. She is HOS, a mentor to other doctors, a confidant to her niece, a caretaker for her mother, distrustful of her other niece - yes, she is supporting in all of this, but it adds up to something much more compelling than being part of a supercouple, preoccupied with one issue in life and little variation in purpose and singular dimensionality in character. With all the supporting characters in Salem like this, it adds up to a community. I find that far more interesting than a badly written supercouple.

Saw Massey's last episode today and then jumped to Wilson's first day. I have to say Wilson is the better actor. Gone though were all the vunerabilities that Massy's Will had...or the way Massey played him. Wilson did seem more natural and didn't seem so uptight, angry...etc..etc that Massey's Will had. I know its just one episode though and he wasnt on that much. The only thing I didnt care for was his look and chemistry with his costars. His hair/style needs to go and I didn't see much chemistry with either Sonny or Gabi. That said gone was the smirking and goo goo eyes during the EJ scenes today. Wilson's scenes with EJ seemed natural and genuine when he thanked EJ for his help instead of puppy love lust...of course that wasnt bad either minus the smirking...lol
