I know that but still this level of insanity is just....wow.

And yeah just reading about what he did to Ashley under MAB....to this very moment it still boggles my mind that the writers and cast just sat back and let that ish go down.

And please lets not even start another Phyllis vs Sharon World War.....my heart can't handle it. Phyllis will always be the winner but I admit that the writing for Sharon has been so terrible. Poor SC never stood a chance.

Considering how obnoxious and egotistical MM had been on Twitter andin interviews and how irrationally loved he was by the show and many of his kooky fans, it is not surprising that his sudden firing and the scandal surrounding it was going to cause a huge explosion.

He's always looked like that sketchy nasty uncle that some families have. That smile of his is just very unnerving IMO and just not at all genuine. SO If I were to ever believe allegations of sexual harassment at Y&R, It would be those attached to him.

They just need to follow the advice of others in this thread and have this "Adam" character just be a psychotic imposter and bring back Chris Engen or anyone else as the real Victor Jr. Just start all over again.

And while they're at it they can give my precious Ashley back that baby "Adam" burned. I know its not realistic and would hurt Y&R's credibility but damn it I want another Abbot/Newman hybrid and I'll always be ride or die for Victor & Ashley...:(....they just make sense to me.

If they do this, I think they should wait at least a year. Let the Adam character rest and have a reset. I also think they should do this even if they keep this version of Adam. Let him be in prison for a year. It might even be best if they put him in jail falsely accused of hitting Delia. Karma for his past crimes. If not, how can he ever be reintegrated into the show, if he was the one who hit Delia. I just don't see how that's going to work.

I mean jail for a year wouldn't satisfy me to be honest. For me it all goes back to what he did to Ashley & Victor as well as Sharon & Nick. Its pretty much impossible for the show to "undo" that and if that's the case what price is enough to equal the life of an innocent child?

Setting aside the crazy fans of MM...there's just no amount of prison time or eyesight loss or medical malady that could make me ever think the scales would be equal..

But keeping in mind that this is a soap opera I would say he needs to be off camera for at least 2 years....and doing rough time with unimaginable horrors.

He didn't hit her on purpose so I think jail time would suffice. It was an accident. If he had seen her when he got out and called the ambulance, would that change how you felt? Because for me, i think it has more to do with his actions after the fact that made him despicable. Not the actual act of hitting her. If that makes sense?

It makes total sense and I agree. No one expects to see a little girl alone at night in the middle of a country road. He didn't see her, so I understand why he didn't call an ambulance. He stopped, afterall.

Still, he saw all the pain it was causing Chloe, Billy and Victoria to think that someone knew she was hit and just left her there. When you add that to causing Ashley's miscarriage and what he did to Faith when she was born..it's just too much. He's hurt too many people, not to need a good long break, imo.

Can't argue there. I felt he was due a break before this story. Perhaps if he went to jail knowing he didn't actually hit her...say he took the rap because he felt bad about how he handled it knowing he wasn't guilty of the hit and run. In a years time, with a new actor, that might make him more palatable. But he can no longer be written in the same manner as before. He would need totally different characterization.

I can't hate on Josh Morrow when I see a vid like that. Yes, Y&R's actors are hammy, disingenuous and OTT, but he just makes me LOL. "GH would kill for you!... You'd be great in a remake of Diff'rent Strokes!" AH also came across as sweet, and MTS seems tight with BM, reminding me that Nikki and Billy had a few really chemistryful scenes together.

As for Adam, I don't need to see him for a good long while. His fetus-burning antics wore me out, and so has this latest MM hoopla.

    • B&B has uploaded May 8th episode to cbs.com and paramountplus. I wonder if it will remain or be removed?
    • -- Off, indeed. I wrote my rant while watching the show. Then I heard Dante mention manslaughter and Danny in the same sentence. Just over-the-top ridiculousness. -- Is Brad written off for good? If so, what a lousy exit. -- Portia is looking sooooooo dumb these days. Just clueless as to how she's coming across.
    • As usual, Dani makes everything all about herself.   Sweetie.. this isn't about you.   I think deep down, the Dupree would be relieved if Dani wasn't around.
    • I watched it all. I was fine with her on both GH and on PC. But, what you describe for Llanview would've worked really well. I just think the whole concept of moving her from show to show was  in big trouble from the start. And, there were some specific blunders, like MAX, GMAB, she had no idea whether she'd had a boy or a girl and he was at least a decade older than any of the others.  I did very much like the idea that Myrtle was her mom.

date: Thursday, May 8 | Ron Carlivati, Danielle Paige | Phideaux Xavier I love the continued references to real-life things; I feel like that's been so avoided in American daytime soaps for such a long time. Dana is genuinely unhinged; she is giving Glenn Close as Alex in Fatal Attraction to the fullest extent, acting as if she's the ultimate love of Ted’s life when she was nothing more than a sidepiece. Not Dana packing up Eva's belongings and throwing her ass out like she is common trash. The child bride is giving a cheap trailer wife look with this look. But she needs to sit her behind down; this is not her fight. This existed before anyone knew she even existed. This is between Bill and Ted right now. I feel like Dani is speaking from experience, knowing of Bill's infidelity throughout her marriage, and I do feel like this is her [trying] to protect her big sissy from the hurt she's been experiencing. Not Anita comparing Ted to Bill; they're both scum men who did not deserve the Dupree women they conned into marrying them. Katherine is putting demands on her new relationship with Tomas; I understand it, but that is not healthy at all, no matter which side. If Tomas demanded that of her, I know she'd high-tail it out of there. Cannot have double standards. Dani walking in, commanding the room, and tossing Hayley out of her own living room? Whew. Not Dana legitimately throwing the photo out of her and Eva; that's cold. "There is no purchase in what might have been," Anita Dupree. What brilliant advice. So wise. Full of wisdom. So now Ted wants to get a hotel room for Eva and then get her her own apartment? Well, okay then. Notes: Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave a masterful performance in today's episode. She's so going places outside of daytime. I see her doing her three-year contract (if that's how they're done for this soap) and ditching it to go back into primetime/film. It is abundantly clear to me why Maurice Johnson (Ted) is exiting the role. I have not bought his performance once throughout any of the "reveal" nor in today's episode. I'm not compelled to believe him or believe in him. At all. There is no emotion in his performance.
    • Ron C breakdowns usually involve quick snip scenes.. and so far, it is apparent in spades.  I wish we had the longer scenes like we had in the previous few episodes. And I see Febreeze appeared again today.  More airtime/purpose than Ashley/Derek LOL
    • I loved Felicia and Donna. They were two of the reasons I couldn't stop watching the show even when the writing was horrible. I was never really a fan of Rachel's unless she was sniping at Cecile (my fave character!). But Felicia and Donna (especially Anna Stuart) are AW to me. Of course, it was around the time of their arrivals that I remember I started watching the show. I was 10 in '83. For me, they were always there. I wouldn't have wanted either of them to be killed off.  Rachel and Mac were okay for me but I never saw most of their relationship play or Rachel's previous work with Steve and Alice. I just saw her as there; the matriarch. Never a fan of Rachel and Carl. It made no sense whatsoever.  I did like Quinn and was shocked when they killed her off. Her and Zack were just starting to become a couple I wanted to watch. She should definitely have been a fixture on the show along with her family. Carter and Thomasina I thought were fun and a great couple, too.  That's the thing about being an AW fan. The show was always on the brink of greatness, but then it would shoot itself in the foot with stupid decisions from writing to cast exits, etc. They could just never quite get it together. The cast was amazing! It's the only thing that saved them for so long.
    • I LOVED LD on AW...one of my all time favorite characters! However, on OLTL, her character was pretty pointless from the word go. I think trying to make her this character she played decades before was also a bad choice. She should have been a brand new character that could have been tied into the current canvas better. Rae really had no connections or family on the show. Imagine if she had been brought on as a recast Melinda Cramer, freshly released from the hospital. She would have been tied into a major family, be Kelly's mother, and have some real drama to play opposite RS.
