Another Y&R actor out??

I just hope this doesn't turn out like the last time.

Wasn't he let go in 2010 during that Who Killed Adam? mystery. Of course, Muhney was brought back a month or two later when it was revealed that he wasn't really dead.

I think contract negotiations fell through. I remember because EB JM, SC and others tweeted or publically stated how upset they were, but now we aint hearing shiot from JM who at one point was MMs closest pal on set LOL!!!

What is this mentality of soap actors that make them think they DESERVE a job, regardless of how they act or the story the show wants to tell? Maura West "walked The Green Mile"? I'm sorry but what? He sounds insane.

"Mass exodus"? Jeanne Cooper DIED. 2 people quit and he got fired. This is not a mass exodus by any stretch of the imagination.

Okay, I got through the first three questions. It cracks me up how he is trying to play professional now after years of obnoxiousness on Twitter and in interviews.

You noticed that too, huh? Now we will hear that CBS and YR are beasts because they fired him right before Xmas, right before his daughter's bday and when his aunt has cancer and will ignore that this guy is a complete jerk!

MM signed a 4 year deal not so long ago. Trust me, he let everyone know on Twitter.

More people left than that, but he's only counting the people he fawned over (and Jeanne).

The comments about Maura essentially imply she was going to be executed.

I guess the people who put out those crucifix pictures in Muhney threads knew what was going on.

+1.

The moment a poster on a message board tells another poster how to feel and how to express themselves, they have blown all credibility.

No, that's b.s.

I gave my OPINION. I didn't tell you how to feel or express yourself. And judging my credibility because I said the trashing of Muhney has gone too far? That's ridiculous.

Try again.

Your beating a dead horse here. I have come to realize that if U see MM's side in this thread your made fun of and told to stop it. Thought these antics ceased after High School? Guess Not!!!

Was the contract 4 or 2 years? It was back in June, I think. Someone posted it on this board causing me to cringe.

I was refering to 2010.

2010 he signed for two years. His original contract in 2009 was for a year

So instead we should feign sympathy for the job loss of a self-absorbed, unkind person who is bad at their job and has displayed grossly inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour not just at work but in public in the name of his workplace?

Noted.

No. That's not what I said. I never told you or anyone else to fake your feelings, so your snark doesn't work here. If people wrote "I'm glad he's gone," I wouldn't have said a thing, but practically having an O because he was fired? Too much.

Exactly th Glee over his firing is too much and some saying maybe he needs this to humble him. Ughh

But what difference does it make if people go too far on a MB? People are venting their opinions and I doubt it makes any difference to MM one way or another at this point. I'll miss him, but other people's feelings on the matter are just that.

My bigger concern is all the musical chairs in the "younger" set. I thank God, David Tom is coming back because it bothers me that Kyle, Noah, Billy and Adam don't have long term actors in the role. I know some people don't think it matters that much, but I think there is something to be said for having one face associated with these core roles. There was a time you could miss a few months of Y&R and still know who you would see when you tune in, but the show has lost that, at least for now. That's not because of MM, he's just one more change.

I didn't think he was untalented, but I thought his offscreen antics more than poisoned the role. Also, I always thought he was way too old for the character, or at least looked it.

I had been under the very, very vague impression that the previous Adam had been a young man with an angelic face and a tortured soul, caught between two walks of life with his mother and Victor. It just seems as though once MM took over it was all snark and evil deeds with a pouting face, all the time.

He's talented but he's more trouble than he's worth. Wasn't that the case at Veronica Mars, as well? I thought they fired him.

Which is what I envisioned the character to be before they decided to make the character a complete sociopath terrorizing pregnant women everywhere. Of course, a large share of the blame goes to MAB's re-conception of the character but MM's antics gave me the impression also that although he had some talent, it was not enough to justify those, antics-- just not worth the backstage, twitter nonsense.

Did he really get fired from Veronica Mars? Is so, coupled with this, that's not a good look for him. Unless he's Robert Downey Jr. with the resume to back it up, casting directors will be taking note.
