This is awful. Jeanne is larger than life which makes this even more unbelievable. She is certainly in my thoughts as are her family. Hope she pulls through this ok, she is certainly a tough woman.

Sad news. I wish her and her family the best. I think it is so sweet that Tracey and Daniel basically rushed to the hospital to be with her.

I am hoping she makes it thru this and when she does, she retires.

It's impossible for me to imagine this world without Jeanne Cooper, or Y&R without Katherine; I hope she will pull through and laugh about all of this, but mostly I just keep thinking about how much entertainment she's provided for me for so many years and how much she has represented the few shreds of integrity Y&R has left. I hope, one way or the other, she is at peace.

I can understand Doug Davidson freaking out as finding out something like that on twitter sucks.

My heart just sank.....I don't think I can deal with this

I saw the quote on WLS blog and like all of you, I was nervous, anxious, perplexed and sad about it. I was trying to find out whether there had been a more severe relapse from her earlier illness. Oh God, I do hope she will get better and come back around to her active, fiesty self.

She's a tough bird, so I'm going to keep positive thoughts.

What's wrong with her?

She might have suffered a relapse in her recovery from pneumonia (it was pneumonia, wasn't it?). At her advanced age, recovery from any kind of infection can be tricky.

Not sure what's wrong with her but DG has been at the hospital since last night. He said she's still in ICU, stable yet sedated.
