IMO, most are not doing that. Some are, don't get me wrong but I don't think everybody is. I'm not doing that. I'm just giving it a chance especially considering I haven't seen one episode of it yet. Maybe I'll love it, maybe I won't WHEN IT AIRS but that's really regardless of the current casting which I think has been reasonable.

Roger is filming 4 weeks as Todd for OLTL and with actors saying both shows tape 10 episodes a week. Roger & Todd could be on OLTL for a few months worth of episodes

I can see some of your point, but I think that's basically just how it is on forums in general--those who complain tend to be the most vocal.

I do see a difference here though--the people bitching an unpopular actor or RC's writing have (for the most part ;) ) experienced and watched that actor or writing. This seems, IMHO, more irrational when people are freaking out with hyperbolic comments like "OK now I KNOW I won't watch that!" from every little bit of information. That's everybody's right, of course--to decide on the information they have, but

A) I seriously doubt 90% of the people who have said that at some point here about EITHER of the online shows will be able to resist checking them out (Especially if it's already so important to them that they have to make such comments) so such comments just look, pardon me, DUMB.

B) It does get old. Sure if you're bashing Ron Carlivati (and me, personally, I think I've praised a bunch of his stuff too), at least you have new continued writing to comment on each day. In this case we just know very bare bones info like what ages are being cast...

ITA. I really don't see a lot of blind praise here. I have seen people becoming more and more excited, and yes,in this case people saying they think it may be a good thing for AMC to have some fresh, and young, faces, but much more often than not, I see this still tempered with a lot of "cautiously optimistic" type feelings.

Me too! It's been awhile since we've heard anything. I like Blair/Todd a lot, but the writing there brought out the worst in both Blair and Tea. I don't want them as best friends but it's worse when they're enemies. I wouldn't mind seeing them work together but I hope they mostly have stories apart from each other. Since Carlivati is thankfully not involved, then maybe! I'd be surprised if Todd isn't back at least briefly, depending on the taping schedule.

Message board debates are hilarious.

I just hope they ignore Tea's baby being dead...I hate RC for bringing over my favorite character to GH to kill off her baby with my other favorite character who is still tied up to a bed somewhere I assume.

Dear Golden Duck,

As you may or may not know I take screenshots of everything I find interesting on SON. If you continue your ridicules claims I will take screenshots exclusively of your posts and report any contradictions until you give up your fight against the three elements that make SON, SON:

Karajan. Non-Karajan. HIPPONACTEUS. (Written in Latin)

This coming from a child who has murder painted on his walls........Like I'm supposed to take you seriously. Hell, like anyone on this board is supposed to take you seriously.

All I was doing was stating an opinion. Seems like no one can do that without being jumped on here anymore.

+100

Cornelius needed to come back. I'm sure he doesn't want to hock pot pies for KFC all the rest of his born days.

    • And every show she leaves is so unstable it takes years to recover, if it recovers at all. Objectively I can say she has a good eye for the look of the shows she is producing, and she knows how to film drama and strive for good acting. I don’t really fault her casting when it comes to new talent, her FOJ’s sometimes fit and sometimes don't though. She also interferes with writers to the detriment of her shows, favors problematic men’s egos on set and gives way less respect to women performers. Her work is often thematically very dark, and misogynistic. Something happened to her a year or so into Guiding Light. The show starts to come unraveled, she basically forced out the writing team that had been bringing the show success. She starts manipulating things like focus groups to get what she wants, and starts building the shows around the men (Buzz as example) and weak women (Lucy). She took over OLTL and tried to fully direct the writing while producing the show. On GH her instincts were so disastrous that they forced Guza/Pratt on her and gave them Associate Producer titles for more money and some agency in the story. And even then, it took until the Brenda return to fully save her ass. And on top of that she is majorly responsible for the show losing Sarah Brown, Amber Tamblyn, Genie Francis, and not securing Vanessa for a longer stay. And now that we know Guza didn’t want to kill Alan off, her fingerprints are all over that one IMO. The only thing I respect about her outside some casting that Mark Teschner brought to her is that she recognized Erika Slezak was too important at OLTL and still too vital to put out to pasture as only the mother of Joey, Jessica, and Kevin, and hand wringing sister of Todd. Emmy’s aren’t everything. Y&R had been number one for decades and truthfully should have been dethroned multiple times but habit and name recogniztion count for something.
    • Meg Bennett wrote for Y&R while appearing as Julia.
    • Everytime Liam appears on Screen I’m like: oh wait.. hey. It’s Liam. He’s still there?“ Like i don‘t know what it is but I always forget that he’s still around lol
    • Heather is a director AND writer at B&B, both in an irregular capacity.   Lawrence St. Victor is part of B&B's writing team for several years now.
    • Not much to bitch about today, but Cat & Liam?  Could be nice Horton Square is going to hell in a hand basket.  First looting and errant pumpkins, now there's rampant purse snatching.  Alice would be horrified. Meanwhile, Cat has the worst luck.  Yesterday she got hit by a pumpkin, and today her wrist was injured.  I hope she doesn't burn herself on the turkey next, it will ruin her nails, if she doesn't get accidentally pregnant from the turkey baster first.

    • If I were Eva, the response back to Kat's uncalled for comment was 'Feeling is mutual, I wish your mom had decided to quit while she was ahead with Martin'
    • I think the question is/was less whether he disliked her and more whether he was throwing in the towel due to her stories all tanking.
