Now I really do hate the bitch!

(Sorry, dragonflies, lol.)

Meanwhile, allow me to introduce you to ex-gun moll "Sugar Kane," Erica's long-lost cousin, played by Victoria Wyndham.

Someone on another board suggested that IF Celia is a Kane then perhaps she's Josh's daughter. If she's barely out of high school, she'd be about the right age to be the result of Josh having a fling in college or med school. That would make her both a Kane and a Martin. It might also give some backstory to why Josh came back to Pine Valley like he did and stole a bunch of money from Zach leading Zach to shoot him for spare body parts. I could get behind her being a Kane that way because no one has to forget they gave birth to a child - you could just say Josh had no clue about her until she was much older. Or perhaps she's a biological daughter or granddaughter of Mark Dalton, but I doubt that would happen - I haven't heard anything about the actor who played Mark coming back, and I'd hate to find out that he cheated on Ellen.

Or you could say that she's Kendall's daughter, born in between the time SMG's Kendall left Pine Valley and AM's Kendall returned, and Kendall gave the baby up for adoption. That's problematic since Kendall likely would NOT have given up her child considering how she felt about Erica giving her up - unless Alice pressured her into it, which might explain why Kendall ditched Alice as soon as Erica was willing to have her back in her life.

Hell, if you wanted to be REALLY creative (read: crazy, but not nearly as crazy as creating a walking un-aborted fetus), you could even retcon it and make Celia Erica's daughter, saying that Erica had one of those "didn't know I was pregnant" experiences until she was out of town on Enchantment business and went into premature labor, delivering a baby she was told died but who was taken by someone for some nefarious reason. Susan Lucci took enough breaks during AMC to film TV movies and have face lifts - excuse me, nose management - that you could claim something like that happened and Erica never told anyone because she didn't know she was pregnant until the baby was gone and she felt horribly guilty because if she'd known she'd have taken better care of herself or what have you, and why tell the would-have-been father and break his heart? And then you just pick a period of time when Susan was off the show for a bit between the mid-1990s and Miranda's birth (since Celia is supposed to be older than Miranda), and voila - instant Kane. tongue.png

    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
