Brooke often became better friends with her Exs whereas Erica "wanted to stuff and mount them" stated Brooke at one time. Jenny and Jesse - the summer they escaped to NY - when Jenny died, Jesse even had his own montage of memories to Jenny to the song "Good-bye my friend, good-bye my love." I thought the show played off the long history of friendship between Tad/Angie/Jesse. Barbara and Tad were cute together, and they thought of exploring a romantic relationship, but Tad was supportive of Barbara after Laura died, and it sealed their friendship.
