GH: A Return Visit

Like someone said upthread, it sounds like a short stint (though I wish it were a contracted run like RH, KA, and ME) so I doubt that it'd interfere (that much) with her flick.

Kassie's shooting her new movie now. I wonder if it'll interfere with her GH stint or not?

If it does she should kick GH to the curb.

it's in hilariously bad taste, IMO, how GH writers keep having Todd/Blair tethered to each other, while she's not even staying on the canvas. They just keep jerking the T/B fans around, keeping 'em on the line for a reunion down the road that (I'm certain will happen, when KD's able to go on contract) might not even happen. It also stifles the character and keeps them in a holding pattern, of sorts. Meh. Call me when she signs on longer-term.

She would probably go on contract whenever they wanted. They never liked or had interest in Blair on OLTL, and she's just being used for brief appearances to push Todd and Starr. If their arrivals hadn't been so poorly done, my guess is we wouldn't be seeing her at all.

I can't care about this since they did such a bad job with Starr and Todd seems so random in all of this. I just can't accept Todd as the primary parent in Starr's life.

I remember a time when a thread titled "GH: Return Visit" would have been about a GH character returning...

Nonetheless, I'm happy to see Blair.

no it's not, it's mobster hospital.

Personally I'm tired of the whining & complaining about this.

At least it's even since *I'm* tired of the OLTL peeps holding GH hostage. The show was CANCELLED. If I had wanted to watch OLTL, I would have.

I guess these OLTL transplants are making some people happy. You know ABC conducted their precious focus group research before any of this transpired. They probably learned that most viewers who watched OLTL also probably watch GH (a no-brainer), and that the Mannings were extremely popular. The Easton transplant is a mind-boggler, but I guess he was seen as popular too. Ratings aren't exactly on fire, but I think the move was done to stop the bleeding at GH...and ratings seem to have stabilized. So Ron/Frank have to be deemed a success on that level. My problem with the show is that the day to day writing/scriptwriting, which IMO was always GH's saving grace, is just abominable. Everything is written as a campy joke, and some of the actors look more than a little uncomfortable with the atrocious dialogue. Did Ron bring his OLTL writers with him, or are is he still using Guza's writing team?

GH staff, including writers and music staff, were fired. Three guesses where the replacements came from.

And even though they sucked, at least the fired peeps focused on GH, which is why I consider it a sort of FU to see some of them won an Emmy days ago. Did they deserve it? Meh. But in the face of being fired for cronies, I love the symbolism.

Do we know that? I know Frons was all about his focus groups but now that he's gone along with AMC/OLTL soaps are they still doing them? I just figured that ABC would be gearing any audience research toward the replacement shows.

ABC stopped doing focus groups in early 2011 right before AMC and OLTL were canceled. RC/FV have free reign to do as they please.

Yep! There is no one monitoring them because ABC does not care and the new Prez is spending her time on shows that have an ABC Daytime future.
