I have to respect that she wanted to leave the business to raise her children. I don't think she came back for money. She worked for over 20 years, I'm sure she has plenty. I think she came back because she was asked.

I think she said in an interview that she came back for the money, but you're such a big fan of hers, you will know more than I would. I don't blame her for wanting to make quick trips since the economy is tough, but if that's her view I'm not sure she'd commit to a show like this which must have a very demanding schedule.

Well, since Jill is involved, the cast will probably be filled with her "friends."

Who are her pets??

WOW this is huge for the soap genre as they could be looking at their future right here.

Unlike MyNetworkTV's experiment, Nickelodeon is in a lot more homes and with there already being a pretty base on Nick including Degrassi on TeenNick this should do marginally well for them depending on what timeslot they put it in.

If this ends up working the Telenovela genre might start exploding in America.

I'm reserving judgment until this actually airs, it may end up being interesting.

I don't recall that interview and couldn't find it upon my search, but that doesn't mean it isn't out there, I suppose.

She's too talented to not be doing something.... :(

asked for what? She did absolutely nothing when she came back in 2010. Its not like they were using her and had a story in mind which called to have Skye in town. They failed to work her into the current plots and just had her randomly lounge around town popping up every other week. To me that seemed more like she asked to come back for a paycheck bc she was a FoJ. That was the most pointless return of the year

I'm also reserving judgment.

JFP is a cast-iron [!@#$%^&*], but Griffith has talent and the fact is that this is a significant commitment to scripted soap opera programming in a new format and on cable. That's important for the genre as a whole.

Carolyn Hinsey is saying this is what was reported about GH at night, that it was a secret at the time (like everything she knows) LOL LOL

This isn't gonna be a soap, it's gonna be a tween show. The lead characters are teenagers who are pop-stars. It's gonna be a cross between Hannah Montana, Victorious, and Degrassi. Yawn.

with an ongoing storyline and arc.

So.. a soap opera. with a teen at the center.

One of the guys involved worked on The Hills/Laguna Beach. I wonder if this show will look that good.

I like, or at least I think I like, the idea of using a reality show exec on a soap instead of the other way around. Maybe it'll help the medium in terms of what the audience has come to expect?

He was the cinematographer and a producer on some eps. The Hills, love or hate it, was a beautifully shot and produced show with the best use of music I have ever seen.
