If this were 5 years ago I might be upset as it stands now its like eh. I like KMc but I think the writing for her character has been less than inspired since her return and I have never understood the appeal of her current pairing. But she plays a beloved character who is really the only good girl left on this show and she has along history of great stories pre Guza.she seems smart and ambitious and I wish her well. Her directing career seems to be taking off so good for her.

Sadly I think that GH has been hollowed out for a long time. That's what happens when the people who run your show hate soap opera (JFP, Guza, Frons) and specifically, hate GH's history (Guza). I think Guza loathed the show, whether he ever said it or not.

I still remember Kimberly's first day on GH like it was yesterday. "Hi. My name is Robin." It's hard to believe she grew up on this show and has been on it forever. I'm happy for Kimberly that she's getting off the Titanic but sad that GH's last days will be the same hollowed out sh#t that it has been for the last decade. Oh well. MyGH ended a long time ago.

I know GL got a lot of criticism and that show was in a way dead for a while but for different reasons. I do think while people hated Ellen Wheeler and the whole Peapack concept, I think she cared enough to do something and I could be alone but I thought the storytelling in their final; year was not bad. The show should have gone sooner than it did,but GH to me is deader and has been deader for years than GL ever was.

I thought the storytelling was uneven in GL's last year, but had some good moments. I think Wheeler, for her many flaws, did love GL and wanted it to go on. Those in charge of GH right now just seem to hate the show and are there only because they want the job to the end.

Yeah, I agree. GH has been off the rails for a long time, but in the last year it really feels dead. I can't put my finger on the moment we went from life support to DEAD, but we did. Maybe it was when they had Luke run over Lucky's son or maybe it wasn't one moment at all, idk.

    • Just compared the open on Friday's episode with the first week episodes. I think the difference is that the bass line is much more apparent -- stronger and harder.
    • Phew, that was close to disaster!

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
