I can't remember the exact incident, but I don't recall it being a secret that he had addiction issues and some out of control behavior.  I don't think the soap mags even covered that up.

Oh wait I just found the post explaining it-

That doesn't seem that bad lol.

I wonder what would have happened with SB’s Carly if AJ had not been recast with Billy.  He’s not a bad actor, he was just miscast here.  I could easily see years of a Monica/Alan type of relationship, and Carly may not have ended up fully in Sonny’s orbit.

I’m watching the 90s Spencer/Cassadine story on YT, starting with Lulu’s illness and Nikolas arriving in Port Charles. I was Lucky’s age when this first aired and remember thinking Nikolas seemed very princely and very sad. But I definitely didn’t think he looked quite as old as he was! Seeing 24 year old Tyler next to 14 year old JJ is a little jarring.

But what a beautifully told story this was. Also lovely to see the Steve Hardy memorial. Still can’t believe they haven’t done anything remotely like that for Stuart Damon.

On the one hand, it's a shame that Rosalind Cash didn't get to live long enough to make an even bigger impact on the show.  Having her as the matriarch of an African-American family -- and one with ties to the Quartermaines, at that -- was nothing less than a stroke of genius.

On the other hand, I shudder to think how Bob Guza, JFP and others would have dispatched with her the same way they did with the rest of the Wards.

I agree.  Although scenes of her learning that Justus let Laura go on trial for murdering Damian Smith would have been really wonderful.  But much like Lois, Guza did not know how best to utilize them, and Claire really knew what she was doing.  I loved the Ward family.

Poor Sarah.  First, Les Moonves torpedoes her career.  Now, this.

Alan Locher is sure to be eager to discuss Sarah's blackballing by ATWT's parent network CBS. Only a deeply irrational person or a clueless and vapid functionary would seek to preserve the honor of a very publicly scandal-ridden host company for a soap opera that has been off the air and defunct for over ten years!

    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
