Why doesnt Starr seemed concerned that her cousin Jessica has turned into Tess? She seems to be more worried about Tess hitting on her boyfriend than showing genuine for her cousin. She seems WAY too cool with the situation and considering the last time Tess was free, she killed Jessica's baby which led to Bess stealing Starr's you'd think she'd have a stronger reaction to Jessica's DID resurfacing

I don't understand Starr at all either, she just seems concerned that Tess is another "obstacle" for her and James.

This show really isn't good at keeping up with the relationships between extended family. People like Todd and Starr never seem to have the reactions they should to Natalie and Jess. It's weird. I would have liked Starr to have some sort of ongoing anger/fear at Jess/Tess/Bess. Maybe with Jess redeeming herself down the line, but then the show would have to be more invested in family relationships.

They literally have her loosely throw around "my cousin Jessica" just to remind us, but as far as actually caring that she's Tess she appears to care as much as her father did last go round.

Starr is so self-centered that any reaction doesn't surprise me but when they have Todd laugh when learning his niece was raped and is having a breakdown, it tells you the contempt the show has for family.

Who was writing back when Tess first came along and Todd actually cared and literally tried to shake Jessica back into existence?

Tess is beyond on my last nerve, she's making me wish Ford would do us all a favor and just throw her off a bridge or something

The writing for Tess is seriously beyond the pale. Tess use to be deliciously fun and now she's just an epic fail. I HATE the writing for her. And I hate even more that this storyline intertwines with the teens. Starr is suppose to be what? 18? And yet, 30+ Jess/Tess is hitting on James who is supposed to be the same age as Starr and suddenly Starr is thrust in a story she has no business being in. All characters in this story (Tess, Ford, Starr, James, Langston with Vicky, Clint) look like fools, especially since there is no sense of urgency that Tess is a very dangerous alter and Jessica is AWOL. Instead everyone is too busy saying Jessica is "sick" as an appendage to Ford's ridiculous non rights to Ryder. Everyone's actions and reactions are contingent on Ford wanting ownership of that kid, and the fact that absolutely no one has called this cock sucker out for taking advantage of this mentally unstable woman to get what he wants is insane. Instead Vicky is yapping away about this fool's rights bending over backwards to compromise with this guy whom she knows raped her daughter. But hey, Tess is back. She's more interesting than Jessica. YAY!

I hate the whole "lather, rinse, repeat" nature of Jessica's recurring psychological issues. Something traumatic happens in Jess' life, she can't handle it, so Tess comes out, stirs up s**t and leaves until the next time Jess can't deal. At this point, it's beyond ridiculous to believe this girl could ever be "cured." Viki, too. Just lock them both up @ St. Ann's and be done with 'em.

Tess can go but Viki must stay! :P This may sound evil, but what bugs me even more about Tess is how I get the impression that BW is really enjoying playing this stuff while we suffer through it.

I think that she really does enjoy playing Tess. I have seen some interviews with her and I think , that maybe Bree's personality might be more like Tess's (minus doing really bad stuff like Tess has done). And not as much like Jessica's.

I think that TPTB want us to view Ford as sympathetic in this storyline, but I don't really find him to be sympathetic. I think that he would look better if he actually cared about getting the mother of his child the help she needs. But he's so focused on what he wants that he really doesn't seem to really care much about Jessica's well-being or about his relationship with Langston.

Like father, like son.

Everything about Tess is disgusting, and the show's use of her is craven. They want viewers to get off on her vamping, even though this behavior is only because she was molested as a child. They want viewers to pity Ford because of how she treats him, even though he raped her. It's supposed to be about how poor Ford suffers, even though he has lost...absolutely nothing. They are always so busy playing games with viewers that they don't ever bother to tell a story. This story makes no sense and is full of some of the worst actors on the show and amounts to the same few scenes every day.

They could have at least had Clint sterilize him or something. Then the poor Ford routine might be more believable.

If only she had a Jessica Tuck personality in there somewhere.
