I posted this in the DAYS classic thread the other day, but thought would do it here as well, if only for you guys to watch the first scene of this - a recently-turned-16yo Tracey Bregman in her first soap role as Donna Craig on DAYS. The talent shown here is amazing and goes to show she could certainly handle what would come her way 4 years later when she got her signature role on Y&R as Lauren. The contrast between the two characters couldn’t be more stark.

For those watching at the time, what was the reaction to Malcolm taking advantage of Dru when she was apparently on medication and ending up pregnant? That almost seems like something that would totally ruin the character.

It was one of those storylines I think Belk & Co. instantly regretted as they swept it under the rug real quick and I think it was originally intended for all purposes that Lily was indeed Neil’s daughter. But it was  a rape and stated on screen as such. I do remember a lot early online folks later would see Malcolm as a massive hypocrite when fighting with Neil. I don’t remember it being a big deal in the soap press it was probably overshadowed in coverage by all the sexual misdeeds that went on with Austin/Sami/Lucas/Carrie over on Days. 
 

The cold medication regrets didn’t stop the show later from Nick having sex drunk with Grace thinking it was Sharon. In fact Thudley over at B&B even gave Ridge & Brooke an even more trashier cold medication sex story in 2006.

I hate those  ' man arranges fashion show for his lady ' scenes- or any of those scenarios where the male takes control and organizes stuff and the woman is supposed to be enthralled and grateful.

But I guess its what they thought the women in the audience wanted to see and I suppose they were right.
