I wish I could've really seen that part of the story. Most of it isn't on YouTube that I could find. There was a little bit of stuff late '86 around the holidays when they're tracking down some info and visiting with Penny. But then it skips to the reveal and then I think again it skips a bit. Even from there on out, most of the episodes I'm watching didn't have much of the Sabrina storyline.  Until lately....which is why she's been bugging me so much.

Mary Ellen Stuart competed alongside Bobbie Eakes at Miss America in September 1982. Oddly enough they would both start on CBS Daytime within months of each other.

Here's a video of both of them being announced amongst the top 10 (Bobbie was announced first, Mary Ellen was announced at 1:12).

Especially since it was so STUPID to have Frannie's half sister-cousin (not her twin) look exactly like her! Just get another actress to play her...

I agree on this, the only good thing was the conflict that came from Babs, which was totally realistic (though of course, it was coming from a anti-heroine..the rest of Marland's goody goody Oakdalies would have said..."Oh it happened so long ago." I also like despite the fact that Babs didnt like her she "saved her life" by tearing up the paper before Sabrina could see James picture...(as it that was the only issue printed in Oakdale..)

I also agree that she would have been more fun as a vixen. I would had her come in as a total lower class slut, smoking cigarrettes, pulling scams on people and rolling her eyes at the Hughes, but I do like her "acting" like  sweet lil thing while not being it. And Babs being on to her schtick. We all know that Lisa's always had time to take another bad girl under her wing to reform her.

Lisa"Now Barbara we all have done things we werent proud of...Sabrina just needs another chance."

Babs "Really, tell me, are you making a percentage of the 20 bucks a pop b*** jobs she is offering in the alley behind the Mona Lisa"

Nancy..."Oh DEAR!!!!!"

Hello everyone,

I've been watching old ATWT episodes lately, but I have a different question here.

Does anyone know the song that is playing around 51:20 and more clearly around 52:06 with Bonnie and Isaac? I can't really understand enough lyrics to get a Google result. It sounds like Mariah Carey.

What a rare treat this is - and it also has a bit of the infamous Barbara psychic dreams storyline.

Jacqueline Schultz may have disliked this story, but she has more pep here than I remember her having a lot of the time as Dee.

I hate Steve SO [!@#$%^&*] much. Hate hate hate hate hate.

Ugh I don't know how people could sit through this macho posturing in the Dobsons era. It is so unsuited to ATWT, just as it was when disgusting Sheffer belched it out.

Finally finished the clip - the end with Barbara zoning out is hilarious.

I guess this must have been one of Craig's early appearances. Lisa Loring is...energetic, as usual. It's nice to see more of Craig with Cricket. And to get a good shot of Scott Bryce's pert bottom at the start of his scene.

Judith Blazer was terrific casting for the show. I wonder why no other soap was interested in her (unless she turned down offers). She and Larry Bryggman work very well together.

    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
    • GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/
    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
