I remember that 2004 went uncharacteristically completely downhill for Molly, and then we got the godawful Christina Chambers of Sunset Beach and Spyder Games infamy as a Molly recast and that was it. I recall the actress playing Nikki Munson at the time should have been playing Molly instead as she sounded and looked like Lesli Kay and could actually act.

Would someone be able to verify the relationship between Jef Hamlin and Rick Hamlin for me?

Since Jef was a love interest for Emily and I think Rick was paired with Susan for a second at some point, I've always assumed that Rick is Jef's father. But as it turns out, I can't seem to find this anywhere.

Another question: The character profiles on Soapcentral (which, I am aware, contain a lot of errors) state that Jessica Griffin and Tucker Foster used to date. However, as far as I'm aware, Tucker left the canvas in 1985, while Jessica didn't come in until 1986/1987 (I've read '87 in various places, but I'm pretty sure she was brought in during the Douglas Cummings storyline in '86). If they were never on the screen together, was it a part of Jessica's backstory? Or is it a Soapcentral error?

Thanks in advance!

Too bad about Eplin...a sexy guy doing unsexy behavior.

I can also think of a lot people who would have been happy to have GA appear at their door naked, but if he was trying to be an ass..I can see he and O'Leary being assholes together in their younger days..I wonder why Krista was left unscathed..I think she knew how to handle them, and Evans was an only kid right???

Henderson Forsythe was 64 in that 81 ep and Linda Dano was 38 so quite an age difference.

Meanwhile real life couple Larry Bryggman was 43 and Jacquie Shultz was 25.

Funny how some  people looked older back then. I imagine a 43 yr old in todays soaps would have a much more youthful appearance than Larry B.

Honestly, aside from Breck Jamison's running in motion, that dream sequence wasn't that awful.  And even the running in motion could have been avoided if they had instead intercut his running on the beach with Frannie facing off against the thugs.

    • It really is ridiculous how happy episodes from 40 years ago make me. God, MKA is so young!
    • Holy sh.it. THAT was a damn soap opera. I’m at a loss for words for how good that was.
    • A private elevator penthouse with a spiral staircase to the primary suite.  Sign me up! The only deficit was that various riff-raffs seemed to have easy access to the elevator.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get it. While I agree with those on here that say he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.
