I concur on this! If they only want Lucy to make occasional visit, at least make them memorable. Last season, she had a scene with John Ross and for a second, I thought she would side with him over Bobby (which would totally contradict the Lucy of old.. who was always closest to Bobby/Pam).. so imagine my glee when I saw Lucy exiting Bobby's office and walking right past John Ross. Even if Bobby hadn't confirmed it to John Ross, you knew that Lucy was really siding with her favorite uncle Bobby.

I could totally see her interacting with Emma.. and having her number as well. I remember Lucy having Kristen's number the second she came to Southfork so i could see her viewing Emma the same way. Shame they didnt make Emma Lucy's daughter... wouldn't have been a stretch. I'm guessing she's in her early 20's.. and Lucy had left Dallas in 1990 very suddenly (and she hardly had much airtime that season anyway). Oh well.. what could have been.

I expected to be once again bored to tears, but I loved this episode

The family dynamics, Christopher and John Ross bonding, John Ross like a crying little boy trying to act like the man his father wanted him to, Bobby being alive for the first time in two seasons, not to mention that Sue Ellen next to the coffin made me burst into tears..

I cried several times during the episode and I think that JR's masterpiece will be orchestrating his own death.

JR said to Lucy: "Why don't you have that junior plastic surgeon you married to design you a new face; one without a mouth" Anyone else finding it odd looking at Lucy grown? I just imagine her as a rambunctious teen

Who were the two women talking to Sue Ellen?

Ewww, it took seeing Cliff mention that Christopher was a Barnes and Rebecca taking him out of there for me to realize she was married to her cousin. I don't care that he was adopted.

Did they even show a scene of John Ross and Emma meeting? Him just walking up to her taking her pills and later that night her having sex with him just seemed so odd

Damn! Bobby ripped Ann a new one. I felt bad for her there

Pam! Wasn't expecting to hear her written into the plot. Its too bad VP wont return

Chris was Pamela Barnes biological son correct? And Rebecca is Cliff's biological daughter....so yeah they are legit first cousins which is EWWWW.

The John Ross having sex with that Emma girl thing was just another weird thing about the episode. Weird as in it just came out of the blue. But I did find it oddly kinda hot.

Much I like Ann's new hairstyle I still was rooting for Bobby when he finally unloaded on her. She SO deserved it. She's been acting weird since like episode 3 of season 1 and Bobby has just been quiet this entire time and put up with all of her issues. And the one time he wants to stay silent she tries to prod into his feelings? Back off Ann

Sue Ellen's late sister Kristin (who shot J.R.) is Christopher's biological mother.

The two women Sue Ellen was talking two are Mandy (brunette, J.R.'s former mistress) and Cally (blonde, J.R.'s former wife).

I loved in the original series when Callie told Sue Ellen....JR is said you were a hopeless alcoholic...lol.....etc..etc...wish I could find that clip......

What SFK said is correct cheap.....Mandy was JR's many flings girlfriends.....Cally was JRs gunshot wedding wife...lol...

Great episode.

Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray did Larry Hagman proud. I thought Linda Gray blew the roof off the place, especially with her eulogy, that was great.

It was terrific to see Mandy Winger after all these years, I like that the costumer decked her out in diamonds and pearls, looks like that tramp did well for herself. Deborah Shelton always had such a great voice.

If the standard of play in the women's final yesterday wasn't of the highest caliber, that is not something you could say about today's final. It was absolutely fantastic tennis.
    • When Barbara's letter was read (partly in Barbara's voice), there was commenting upthread that Barbara's voice is similar to the voice of Naomi's unhoused client June.  It did sound like her.  June is played by Jasmine Burke.  Per closing credits, Barbara was voiced by Sherita Bolden.  Still possible that they are connected. From our discussion on the May thread:  Looks and/or voices similar between June, Haley, and Tracy.   Tracy looks like Debbi Morgan. LOL so June might be connected to Haley, Tracy, or Barbara; and/or Samantha&Tyrell. I love that we don't know!
    • In the 1987 episodes, Mary has wonderful conversations with MJ and Cheryl. This is a realistic family with believable dynamics. Mary's ambivalence towards Vince is played nicely. Denise Alexander is so good here. I don't know what happened that the writers or producers just decided to chuck it all away. I don't FF these scenes. The show had a strong family that could have had years of storyline and they did nothing with them. I really don't get it.
    • I can't speak for Sonni, but I thought Annie came off as neurotic from very early on. That's just how Cynthia Watros plays her parts, and the writing went along. I don't think Claire was mentally ill - they claimed she had a brain tumor, didn't they? I am never sure just why they made the effort given that she was leaving anyway.
    • @DeeVee Claire is a perfect example. So many women came to Springfield as competent, smart, and talented professionals. Then they’d attract a so-called “good guy,” get dumped, and spiral into complete chaos. What always strikes me is how clearly it plays like a male fantasy—yet it was written and sold to a female audience.  I'm not a content expert, but I don't think cis gendered women fantasize about losing control of their mental faculties in response to an orgasm. Similar to Holly's story, it seems repulsive, because I don't believe women fantasize about becoming more vulnerable and appealing to men after they've been assaulted.
    • I just watched some parts of an episode of GL where Roger has just been shot by Holly. Rita then admits to Hillary that Roger raped her. Kasdorf is such a fantastic actress. I wish there were more of her work available.
    • -- Alex Alegria has almost a full sleeve tattoo on one arm and a large tatt on one pec. I see no indication that the show is covering up his ink,
    • Didn't Carrie2 even seduce a minor? Ick. Oh, yeah, and she even tried to seduce Alan, but this was his post-prison era when he was trying to prove to everyone he had changed. It's funny that of all people he didn't go for it. Wait. Josh had an affair with Vanessa? Or she just thought he did? I know people always say "it's just a soap" but the way mental illness is portrayed on soaps (and that goes for pretty much all of them) has always been not great, especially PPD. They practically turned Claire into The Joker. She also was trying to seduce men. (I notice that now Mary Ryan Munisteri is listed as co HW with Ryder in the 1986 episodes, Claire has calmed down a lot. Never thought her GL career was very good but seems like she tried to course correct that a bit).
    • sss Ms. Tunie is a goddess. I feel all the anger, pride, sadness, arrogance, dignity, fear, love, and other emotions in everything she does as Anita.
