The comment she made to Ashley and Gizelle that being part of "this group" (aka the show) takes you out of reality, is very telling. Robyn is seeing the forest through the trees. I loved her calling out Ashley and Gizelle for their underhanded crap.Even Karen was impressed.RHOCThis week's episode is the season finale. It has been an utterly pathetic season.I'm not surprised if the show keeps Gina when it retools. She is the only one with a 'storyline' that has advanced. Much as she hates being associated with the Casita...it's her true arc. From Coto to Casita to successful real estate agent - even Vicki has mentioned Gina's doing great and should be proud of herself. In last week's episode she was the target of the group because she was second hand shopping in Japan's luxury consignment stores and some of the cast thought she was being irresponsible with her money...I disagree. She was buying classic Chanel bags (back when the quality was there) at half off or better.Heather is still enjoyable to watch because she's rich.Vicki, Shannon, and Tamra should all be canned. It's the same rehash over and over again.I think Carmella was a casting mistake.Jenn should be kept because she lets it all hang out. The good and the bad.Emily's time on the show should be over. Her storyline revolving around her young son's issues is not easy to watch. It feels irresponsible.Robyn's perspective out of the limelight has been interesting and unexpected. The really amazing sleight of hand is how Wendy has almost completely convinced me of her moral authority when it comes to Gizelle... And yet we know that she has this fraud trial looming! I'm not sure the authorities are as convinced of her innocence as she is, but this season so far, the certainty with which she held Robyn to account and stood by Tia was strong and convincing. It says something about how much Gizelle has become the villain on this show that we are rooting for these two to call her out. October 29Oct 29 Author Member Tonight's SLC was a chaotic mess! Top down one of its best episodes ever. You know its gonna be good when they skip the intro and we go straight into the party
October 29Oct 29 Member Random thoughts as I have some free time at work...RHOC: It's stale but it's not toxic. The endless merry-go-round of Tamra/Vicki/Shannon hating and loving each other has seen better days. We know Vicki's out and Shannon needs to be "rested." Tamara, like Gizelle, is the necessary evil that keeps stirring the pot. I don't have strong feelings against Gina or Emily (I know Emily isn't much of a fan-favorite), so I don't find them to be the "problem" of the show. Are they aspirational? Nah, but they can be entertaining. Jen is bland but not a dud; she's just a B player. I don't have an issue with Carmella, but I don't think she'll be asked back. Heather is the crown jewel of this franchise; the one that brings the true aspirational wealth. She's safe and needed.Someone who wasn't a breakout nor a dud was one-season Elizabeth Vargas who keeps popping up here and there in the last couple seasons and honestly, I find I like her even more now. She's got that aura of a peppy news anchor or field reporter. If they brought her back, I wouldn't be mad.Otherwise, they could use a refresh. Take out 3-4 castmembers (Vicki, Shannon, Carmella, and maybe Jen or Emily) and bring on someone who has true wealth and wants to have a lil fun in the limelight without being some thirsty up-and-comer who's looking to hawk a sad jewelry line or hair product on TV. RHOSLC: I haven't seen last night's show, but I'm going against the grain here. I thought Meredith and Lisa's song/dance at Bronwyn's event was pretty lame and pathetic. They spent "hours" rehearing a song that is literally 4 words on repeat? Then their so-called dance looked about as coordinated as a 2-year-old Christmas pageant. Was Bronwyn's reaction a little dramatic? Yeah, but overall, the 2 "mean girls" looked dumb.I know Andy loves her and her twink son, but honestly I'm ready for Meredith to be put on pause. In the last two seasons, she's adopted that obnoxious Erika Jayne "too cool for school" attitude and I'm not digging it. She doesn't apologize for anything, takes no accountability, and creates an odd dynamic whenever she enters a room. She and Lisa have iced themselves out of the group, but I would guess we'd sooner see Lisa putting her tail between her legs and trying to make nice-nice next season if her buddy were booted. Yeah, Lisa would still be Lisa, but she'd play the game to stay on the show. Meredith can go.I'm already over the new friend-of, Ashley Quai. Heffa can't keep her stories straight right out of the gate, and already turned on the friend who brought her on the show. Idiot. I hope she gets read for filth as the season progresses. I wanted to like her on her first day, but now I'm just ready to see everyone turn on her. Edited October 29Oct 29 by Gray Bunny

AND it's clear he's been working out. Things to make you go hmmm on Housewives though cuz is that not the first sign that a marriage is about to be break up?
October 29Oct 29 Member I cannot understand why Shannon allowed herself to look like this at the reunion. The dress and hair are so matronly, I don't get it.
October 30Oct 30 Member NYI thought that was a nice end to the first (?) cast trip. There was intrigue. There were confrontations. There was rich people stuff. And there were one-on-ones. And I really liked that coda at the end.The highlight was Carole vs Sai and of course Erin vs Sai. I honestly did not appreciate the way that Carole was coming across at all in regards to that. She was the one that repeatedly brought up the Einstein Files to everyone. Sai asked questions and was straight-forward about it. Her feeling a way the next day...okay. Her feeling a way to a point of bringing up Sai's past on camera...yeeeah NO. And making it worse...Carole was being coy and did not mention before they were on the beach together that she had been talking about Sai's past on camera, playing it off. Then Sai pivoted back to Carole and her straight-forward questions and Carole wanted to be self-righteous about it as if she was not just talking behind Sai's back GIRL, BYE. It really put Carole in a bad light for me.Erin vs Sai, on the other hand, actually came across more authentic and very true to life. And that...especially their one-on-one at the end...felt real. That conversation really felt like two friends talking about an issue, revealing how much they have grown apart from each other. After all Erin and Sai were the mean girls their first season. And they were close enough that I didn't find anything that Sai was saying to her to be false. Credit to Erin to finding proof that she might not have told Sai's marital business to anyone that got to Jenna that got back to Sai, but she does have a loose mouth. Apparently especially when she's drunk. Can this friendship be saved? Do they want to save it? That was the vibe that I got from the end. Good coda.DAISY. Over her. She started off so strong. But her continuing to pick on Erika being wealthy was annoyed. I was happy Erika finally chin cheeked her about that 'leftover' comments at dinner.JESSEL. Pretty much background this episode. Other than laughing at Erin trying to make a scene.HAILEY. Wait. Is Hailey a trust fund kid and that's why she doesn't want to talk about money? I thought that was an interesting observation. From Daisy funnily enough. She was pretty much background this episode as well. And comic relief.SAI. I was Team Sai. I didn't think she was wrong to ask Carole those questions. Carole was the one who kept bringing it up. When Carole brought up Sai's past (not Sai bringing up her past, mind you), Sai didn't even bat an eye. She kept the conversation moving. And I respect that she did sit down with Erin for that one-on-one and just had an honest conversation. I so miss Housewives one-on-one.s.ERIKA. I really have warmed to her. Is it safe to say she's the Cynthia of the group? The wealth that was on display just had me in awe. Floating fruit trays. Curtains that open automatically. Renting the J-Lo dress. And I think what sold me was her getting the J-Lo dress stuck on a cactus. Just lol. Finally, it was about time she started to give it back to Daisy who has done nothing, but complain since she got to the island. Cuz that McDonalds shade was great.CAROLE. I don't know what to think. There were some bits that I liked with her. Her story about the cursed watch and Kim K was hilarious. And I was so annoyed at everyone talking over her because I wanted to know where the watch was now. I respect that she brought up Sai's past to her face even if I didn't like her method for doing so. Other than that, I really didn't like her this episode. Again her getting into her feels about those files...understandable. But her wanting to be tic for tac and not owning it was where I drew the line. Watching her with Sai made me 'feel a fire' knowing what she had said before that scene. So while I feel that Sai said her piece and will be moving on, it's going to be Carole keeping this going and that's just bad form on her part.ERIN. I respect (even if I side-eye) that she managed to do a scene with her proving that she didn't tell Jenna. That still doesn't take away from her having a loose mouth though. So I'm glad Sai called her out. Her trying for a scene and playing victim during the episode did her no favors. Thankfully, she was finally sat down by Sai to have a serious discussion. So let's see where the friendship goes.Good episode. Let me start that new episode...
October 31Oct 31 Member Ok this week's SLC was a fun, chaotic mess 😂 SLC is always too performative and over the top, which can come across as fake, but it's still quite entertaining.
Saturday at 04:38 AM5 days Member The OC finale was very cute and I loved that so many former housewives came back, donned in their sky tops! Gosh, that was so 2000s.Loved seeing Vicki's firecracker assistant Linda! It breaks my heart to see Jeana with her tongue cancer. She seems so strong and doesn't let her speech impediment get the best of her!I like Carmella generally, but it felt like she was nervous or too subdued sometimes, unless the vodka finally got the best of her. I wanted her to give more when she was with the ladies, but she really just gave it in the comfort of her own home around her kids. It's crazy to see Shannon and Lizzie together again. They started this show together, which was a fabulous season, and yet Lizzie looks identical to what she did back in Season 9...Honestly Lynn looks the same too, which is amazing. They needed Lauri there. I wish they invited more former housewives, not just the ones that were peaceful and had no drama with ladies. Will always love that OC guitar riff at the end of each season.

Her last run as a friend didn't go so well for her 😂
Saturday at 03:16 PM5 days Member That OC season finale also would've worked as a series finale. Given that they're only getting a 2-part reunion, it does seem like the show might either be put on pause or rebooted. This season felt stale -- nothing clicked or lifted off, really. Even Jenn, who I thought had great potential in her prior seasons, kind of lingered there. And Carmella has to be a one-and-done. Something just didn't gel. I think it was the right move to incorporate Vicki into this 20th season, but between this and the concurrent UGT, I believe we've finally heard the end of "They should bring Vicki back!" The Sky Tops thing was amusing and so nostalgic!

On one hand, it's like... duh, it's reality TV. Of course they encourage the drinking. On the other hand, it states that she resumed drinking before she began filming the series. I get why she'd be personally salty about how she went off the rails on the show, but her sobriety wasn't Bravo's responsibility, either.
