RHOBH: That trailer..egads. The same nonsense but this time it's Denise who is the target. Sigh. Sutton is so fun and interesting but we could get more Teddi and Erika? I was thinking of just watching Garcelle and Sutton, but I can't be bothered to do that. RHOBH is the only show where the non-housewives do all the heavy lifting.

RHONJ: The last part showed how a reunion can work when the women shut up and let people answer and talk. The Teresa/Joe stuff worked because it was allowed to happen. Danielle comes out and it's all ruined. Poor Danielle. She also brought the drama this season, and they put her in time out. I was thrilled Jennifer finally shut up. The only show where the men are often more interesting than the housewives.

RHOA: What is wrong with Nene? She's turning into a conspiracy whacko. She should now better than to go after Kandi. I'm glad she did because Kandi is hilarious. Kandi also has self awareness which is something Nene has never had.

He hasn't filmed WWHL in over a week, and he has done his radio show from home. He self-isolated pretty early on, but I imagine he has staff (nanny, housekeeper, personal assistant), and I guess he will be counting back over the incubation period and contacting all those he came into contact with. That could be how he got it. Hope it's just a mild case for everyone concerned and that baby Ben in particular is doing fine.

So this is random, but I am watching a few episodes of S7 RHONY this morning (Rich Bethenny's first season back). They went to Turks & Caicos for their cast trip (Countess: "Don't be all, like, uncool"). NYC has truly standout trips. Which are your faves?

S3 Scary Island (the OG of them all)

S4 Mo-ROC-Co

S5 St Barts

S6 Montana

S7 Turks and Caicos

S8 Miami

S9 Mexico

S10 Cartagena

S11 Miami again

Gotta say, I have a real love for the St Barts episodes. The pirate. Aviva going ballistic. You're both white trash, quite frankly!

Scary Island is iconic, of course. Satchels of gold! Al Sharpton! You need a time-out/I don’t need a time-out, I need you to zip it! Go to sleeeeep, you’re crazy! I threw up because she tried to kill me so many times!

Shame that Luann wasn’t on that trip. She’s the MVP of many of the other NYC trips.

I loved Mexico with Luann tumbling (twice) and Dorinda flashing gang signs and stabbing herself in the hand.

LOL. I also forgot Sonja’s great line about Ramona leaving the guy in the house unattended. “Ramona’s green. Green to the game.” That’s the Sonja I love. Witty and wise, not drunk and flashing her snatch.

@NothinButAttitude Whenever I think of RHONY cast trips, "Not Really" is the moment that springs to my mind first. I don't know why, but I just LOVE the way Luann growls that from the side of her mouth. I find myself falling into unconsciously saying it the same way IRL.

Totally agree about Luann being a MVP on many a cast trip. Luann loves a tropical beach vacation for sure. She has a zest for life and enthusiasm that I find very watchable on these trips.

Now, I like Heather and the S5-6 newbie crew, but this was not a good look on them. First of all, they insisted on blaming the wrong person for the dude in the bedroom (it was Ramona). Even after they found out it was Ramona, they continued after Luann with their judgy stank faces and pearl-clutching.

This convo tho, lol. Sonja makes me laugh so hard:

Kristen: There was a little bit of making out on the deck.

Luann: Absolutely. Copping to it totally.

Kristen: And he said your man was married.

Luann: ....Ah. well...

Heather:

Luann: You know---

Sonja: Sh*t happens.

I thought he looked genuinely ill in the photos, although that may just be how he looks without makeup. I do think his canceling his livestream show means it's probably true...I have to admit I have the same thought with some celebrities though, including him.

I wondered whether some celebs out there might use the coronavirus to raise their profile.

However, with Andy, logistically, I'm not sure he'd be able to lie about this and get away with it. He has staff around him, a daily TV show, daily radio show -- his child, his friends, his guests and lots of people working for him may have to be tested now that he is positive for the virus.

    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)

    • Broadcasting Magazine (May 5, 1980) : Future US-Next TV : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive From a May 1980 Broadcasting issue: Meredith Broadcasting in association with Alan Sloan Inc has committed itself to produce series of five half hours in soap opera form, "designed for youngers 11-14 and their parents." Programs, yet untitled, "will deal with problems teen-agers face in their relationships with peers and parents," with script topics reviewed in advance by teachers, psychologists and others. First episode is to air on Meredith's five TV's in September and ground broadcaster also anticipates syndication. If successful, idea is to go to full-fledged series.
    • Broadcasting Magazine (May 5, 1980) : Future US-Next TV : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive Looking at an old Broadcast issue with a fall schedule preview. Their description of the show: Lorimar Productions turns its cameras "below the surface of a small, traditional, thriving college town still large controlled by its founders, the Millingtons." Plot elements include "nurtured dreams, closely-held desires, closeted shame and vital truths about friends and family." Lee Rich, Michael Filerman and David Jacobs are executive producers of the Roundelay production, in association with Lorimar.  They also mention the show in a small section about advertising's point of view.  Advertising agency reaction to the new fall line-ups announced by ABC and CBS last week varied. But upfront, some agency types were apprehensive that their advertisers might be turned off by some of the new "titillating" entries. "I'm concerned about the amount of permissiveness," said one executive, with CBS' Secrets of Midland Heights commonly mentioned as one possible offender.
    • I just saw this. Thanks for sharing. The classic Y&R thread may enjoy your posts. It was in very poor taste for Andy Cohen to blindside MTS with that type of question, but I'm not surprised as he's an awful person.
    • The way Kat was acting today, it only enhances Silk Press Sheila's stalking accusations.   She certainly takes after her Aunt Dani. It took about 70 episodes, but the show seems to have finally understood that Ashley/Derek have to interact with the rest of the canvas in order to get viewers to care about them... or at least understand what their purpose for being on the show. Leslie vs Kat is a wonderful pairing.... and Leslie/Tomas was comically.   Dani's delusion that she's still Bill's wife.... no comment. I really hope that Eva doesn't turn out to be Nicole's child.. because I find the fall out from the anniversary party to be pretty good and there's more possibilities having Eva not being Nicole's child then being her child..imho.
