Dallas

Brandi's daughter is a gremlin and she really needs to nip this attitude in the bud bc its not cute at all

Im not feeling the blonde on D'andra or Leann.

Not feeling the Cary recast. Didnt like the original, not do I like her replacement. She reminds me of Esther from Cheshire

Honestly, I am shocked at how underwhelmed I was by it.

But I already know that it will escalate from there so I'm good.

And YAAAAASSS Karen, you dig into Gizelle's butt. And I even give Ashley her props for also doing the same thing. Since we all want Gizelle held to the fire for her pot stirring, looks like we are all going to get what we wanted.

This year AND last year. Potomac has been battimg 2 for 2. It is the best show of all the franchises, on a par with NY for me.

Finally caught up on the last episode and I'm so glad I did. Katen came into her own this epi. This was not La Grande Dame, this was *Karen* being real with Ashley, and also very empathetic regarding Katie's smarts and vulnerability. Even Robyn backed her up. Gizelle tried to paint it like Karen didnt care about Katie's whereabouts, but she was completely exposed by production as a fool. It is exhausting watching Gizelle and her heavy-handedness. With Karen, it feels effortless.

I think they've been the strongest the past 3 years TBH. I think Potomac could be a force if Bravo actually promoted them better. It is a good thing that now they are starting to get the press they deserve, but I say that is due to the likes of Keke Palmer and Wendy Williams--celeb fans that promoted the show and brought it to the mass.

I feel the same for Dallas too. It's audience would grow too if the network even showed an ounce of interest for the show. I'll even add Married to Medicine, the STRONGEST show on the network, to this list too.

It boggles my mind b/c Bravo literally puts all their chips into ATL & BH -- both which have been waning the past 2-3 seasons of their show. Especially, BH. After this past sh*tty, heavily scripted season, I think that BH needed to be put out to pasture.

So I watched Dallas and still confused why LeeAnne is a fan fav.  She needs psych lockdown pronto.

Now it makes sense why Dandria's mom gave her the company..she had already ruined it as payback to her daughter.  Dand4ia needs to cut both her and Leanne out of her life.

Kary seems fun thus far.

In some ways, I am proud my plucky Potomac managed to get where it is today on word of mouth. It shows that it is the real deal. But IA with you about BH getting the bulk of the promotion and favoritism on Bravo. Early on this past season, Rinna bragged on Twitter about how BH surpassed ATL in viewership, and I just saw red. How can this show, which is at a complete creative nadir, attract even more viewers??

I really do feel the tide is turning, however. Viewers gave BH a chance this year but their patience has run thin. Meanwhile, Potomac is getting a lot of attention on social media and in the ratings. People are really feeling it this season, and I suspect reunion will see more people tuning in (partly because Michael will be showing up). Potomac is taking off, and Dallas is on its way up IMO. I think BH is in big trouble, and ATL has gone through a bad patch, but if NJ can regenerate itself after the wilderness years (dont judge, I loved it the last two years), so can any franchise.

Oh, and totally agree about M2M, which is putting most of the RH shows to shame. I love the way it focuses on marriage and relationships. These people shine in all their multi-faceted, contradictory glory. Even Quad.

Agree with so much of this. Sometimes I just adore Leeanne, but sometimes she lays it on so thick that I just cannot deal. Case in point was her victimhood this episode. Either you can forgive, or you can't, so just say you can't and move on.

I think it's so interesting the way D'Andra and Leeanne's tortured relationship with their mothers led them to each other. It dictates a lot of how they interact with females, specifically their need for constant validation from women.

Okay I cannot for the life of me get pasting a link to Twitter to work, so here's the link to a site that's got the screengrabs of Camille explaining that Kyle has always had input at RHOBH because she had the initial development deal with evolution, that there's never been a Most Favoured Nations Clause among the cast, and that Kyle basically fired her:

@DaytimeFan, I saw the exchange between Tamra and Camille, and Tamra is all over the damn place this year. She's not only getting into it with Kelly, but BH housewives too. I think come time for the reunion, Tamra is gonna be officially nailed to the cross. She is doing too much and it is gonna bite her in the ass. I think this might the season we see her demise. I'd love for her to finally be put out to the pasture. Plus, we all know that Camille is telling the truth when it comes to Kyle. That's why Evolution always gives her a good edit--because she has some say so. Also, that is why they were all pissed that LVP became the star of BH b/c she outshined the intended star(s)--Kyle and Kim.

Potomac:

I cannot believe this great season is over. I seriously enjoyed every episode this season, and I know the reunion is going to be an epic mess too. As stated before, if Bravo had any sense, they'd start promoting this show more than any other. These women truly brought it this season.

Kudos to Karen too with her launch and finally shutting Gizelle the f-ck up! Karen did what real bosses do, which is move in silence until the product is finished. I hope she goes on to be a great success and venture out to do more. Build that empire, Karen!

The pregnancy reveal scenes with Michael/Ashley were awkward. You can tell that this man does not want a child at all. If Ashley wants to continue being a beard, do you, boo. Do you.

    •   1. 11/1/83 cast/set list:

Please register in order to view this content

The "11/2/83" video you posted of Ruth Buzzi's scenes includes Roman and Hope in them, meaning the video you posted is actually 11/1/83, since Roman and Hope aren't in 11/2/83.   2. The video you posted of "11/2/83" has scenes with Roman and Hope. As you can see from my cast/set list, Roman and Hope are not in the 11/2/83 episode (see above note):   4573...11/2/83: Cast: Mickey, Julie, Doug, Maggie, Neil, Don, Marie, Alex, Liz, Andre as Tony, Gwen, Chris, Eugene, Sandy, Letitia, Charlene, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Dave, Delia, Saleslady # 1, Saleslady # 2, Figure in Dark, Raven/animal, Cats/animals, Birds/animals.   2.  11/3/83 :My video collection starts with 11/4/83. so I don't have the 11/1/83 or 11/3/83 video, but in addition to the cast/set list for 11/3/83, here is also the parking clearance call sheet for that day, showing Ruth was not only in the cast/set list but did work that day:     They even had hired the animal trainer and all the animals for the day, so It's sort of a certainty that her scenes were not cut that day, or it would have been a big waste of the budget. 3. As for 11/7/83, I just fast-forwarded through that whole episode myself. Letitia is in it from start to finish. It's her big final episode where she is killed. She starts the episode saying "Eugene, are you there?" In the next act, Marlena shows up and meets Letitia's lion. Later in the episode, Letitia is killed by "Eugene" (the Salem Slasher in a Eugene mask).   So, as we can see from your own post, the 11/2/83 date you have listed on that video is incorrect, since Hope and Roman are in that video but not in the 11/2/83 episode. It seems the dates you have on all your early November 1983 episodes are incorrect.   When you post videos and suggest that my data is incorrect, do you not first compare who is in the scenes and see if that matches who is in the episode? You didn't do that with the "11/2/83" episode, which based on Roman and Hope being in it means that is actually 11/1/83. Best to do something like that first before suggesting my data and research is incorrect.
    • Within the Dupree family, I predict Vernon/Anita will be conflicted about what to do about Bill and his role in the whole Ted/Silk Press Sheila situation... especially since Bill knows where the particular bone about Martin is buried. Dani, Chelsea, and Naomi's reactions to what Bill possibly did isn't hard to guess.. but Hayley's reactions will be interesting to hear.  Especially given her recent pregnancy scare.. she might not be so much on Bill's side, or she'll totally surprise us and be totally on Bill's side.   Either way, I think Martin's secret will be the main focus in May sweeps.. with the fall out of the Eva secret playing out in the background... while the Joey/Vanessa/Doug thing continues to boil/develop.
    • Hotel was The Love Boat on land but a little soapier. I will forever maintain that Hotel was a time slot hit. I don't believe that 1983/84 Hotel was a better show than Knots Landing.

    • The timing is strange, though. How far in advance would they normally be on location? The Achille Lauro hijacking was on October 7, 1985. Nancy had arrived in Egypt in the storyline by October 18. But the character of Hawk, Chris' Native American friend from Arizona, had already appeared onscreen by September and brought a letter telling Chris to be in Egypt by October 25th.  Why did they already have the link to Arizona before the reason to cancel the shoot in Egypt?  The dust and the jar it came in were from Egypt though. Nancy bought it there and sent it to Mac as a gift before she came back to the states and followed Chris to Arizona.
    • Actually that is not what happened. Nor is the timing right for it to have been. We learned from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay  in 2006, which can be found on YT, that it was Fred Silverman's idea to do the 90 minute show. I don't know how much you know about him but he had these amazing successes as head of daytime at both ABC & at CBS. Then he came to NBC where basically everything he touched turned NOT TO GOLD but to shite. Some of the most expensive shows ever produced up to that time were huge flops. Although even he, like a broken clock, could be right on occasion. However, as we know, he was not right about the 90 minute show. As a matter of fact, afterward,  NBC programmers, who worked FOR him, were asked why they did it & they were quoted as saying it was because they couldn't think of anything else to try. It was a stupid idea from a man who had reached the point where he was throwing anything at the wall to see if it would stick.

    • I stopped watching Another World in 1990. Simply, lost interest in the show.  I had watched the show from 1973 to 1990. The 90 minute show started the decline of AW.  NBC panicked with expanding AW due to the GH hoopla. As mentioned above, 1982 was a trainwreck for AW.  The introduction of the Shea family, the movie storyline involving Jamie, and Steve Frame favoring Rachel over Alice. The writers went into that direction due to the forgettable performance of Linda Borgeson.
