WHAT?!!!! Someone else beside myself thought the choice of clips was interesting! I am going to need to see more to get a handle here but I have seen enough to believe that we might have a tagteam of enemies here and certainly one of them connects to the Newmans and they might not be in their right minds. Either way though Deacon has now infiltrated the Newmans and now Baldwins are on the list. And thanks for bringing Kay into your post because it now occurred to me why we had the Harvest Festival with Phick, Likey, Katherine/Murphy - somehow I think this is all going to connect...I just need more clues. And let me throw Nikki in this lot too!!

MAB may still be an amateur writer in my eyes but even I can see that she does 1 thing that I love which is connecting the characters somehow even if it sometimes by a flimsy thread.

Don't worry, I don't think knowing Daisy attends Walnut Grove is going to reveal any secrets about future storylines.

Daisy looks like she had future Brittney Hodges written all over her. Mark is just giddy with delight.

Who was Abby supposed to be? I thought she looked like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Then I remember that Abby's 14 and it freaks me out. Someone said she may be Amy Winehouse, though that's not much better.

Amy Winehouse was so last year and I think Daisy was Gwen Stefani, although isn't that so 10 years ago? You'd think these girls would be dressed like Lady Gaga and Rhianna (bruises and all). Who dresses like a football player and doesn't at least put zombie make-up on with it? All this says to me is that Halloween was just an afterthought and they had to scramble to come up with something. The only ones who looked clever were Chloe and Mac and that's only because Mac for once, looked great, and Barbarella is retro.

Those costumes were just terrible. I can't believe how cute AMC's costumes were compared to that garbage. Some of the ideas didn't bother me, but the execution was terrible. When I heard everyone raving about Delia as a football, I expected to be able to tell she was a football. I can't even comment on the dreadful story because the Halloween costumes were so disappointing.

The choice of clips for the Victor farewell was indeed puzzling.

To reference the Michael in the dungeon story, when that had been swept under the rug for so many years was odd.Did it even get a mention when Leanna was writing 'Ruthless? Who actually knows about that, anyway?

It was bizarre seeing Victor near death so often. How many times has he been wounded/taken ill etc?

If past performers are used in clips,is any kind of clearance necessary? If so,could this affect what is shown?

As for Ridiculous Style, that dumb magazine and the insta issues has to die!!

The writing is still all over the place-dragging and zooming by at that the same time.

Is it really fair to blame the actor for the decisions of TIIC? The writing for the Adam character has been an epic fail for so long now. They never should have gone down the road they did with Ashley's miscarriage. Personally, I don't think MM is doing a terrible job. I could buy his Adam as a business rival to Victoria and Nick, but now there is so much baggage, I have to wonder how the writers think they can keep this character viable.

For me, it is. I've liked Adam up to the beginning of the Ashley storyline, and that was basically the last few weeks of Engen and the beginning of Muhney. Muhney does so bad in the portrayal and sometimes it seems like he came here to make fun of some of the dramatic stuff.

Maybe I could buy him as a business rival if I already didn't know the crap he had done to others. The problem is, and always will be, that the writer just change his personality for whatever storyline they come up with next.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
