Ashley was *always always always* a b*tch. That was part of her that was delightful.

Think of how she treated Dina.

Think of how she treated "Jackie" when she discovered him drunk/naked/having sex with Diane Jenkins the night before his wedding.

If they unleash Ashley's "snooty" side, then they are playing the 25-year truth of the character.

On B&B, she transformed into something lighter and sexier. While that was also a part of Ashley, she equally mixed in b*tch and psycho (on occasion). Her first two stints as psycho were weak and catatonic. Her Robert-blanket stint as psycho was more aggressively nutso.

So, just because Ashley is a b*tch has little bearing on her as a psycho.

What proves she's still a psycho -- i.e., in the same denial she was with Robert -- is that she hasn't noticed the absence of birth trauma in her hoo-haw, the absence of lactation...or any of that stuff. Ashley is quite decidedly nuts still. Never forget that.

The one who is supposed to be a bit more "healed", I think, is Sharon--who apparently took that month of inpatient psychotherapy seriously (or so we have been told). We have to "trust" that, because the one on-camera session she had in the "freakin' funny farm" did not look like she was taking it seriously.
