Yes, so happy that Judi is looking well and hope she continues to improve.

It’s so funny: I find Vincent so endearing in interviews (love the beard) yet so off-putting in his roles. I’d love to see him play something very light and not smug and/or supercilious.

Both Judi and Vincent seemed genuinely grateful for the reception from the fans over the years. It was entertaining and heartfelt. I liked how at times, both actors gently but firmly steered the conversation, so they wouldn't be rushed, as Alan can sometimes switch to other topics rather quickly.

Did my ears deceive me, or did Alan sort of imply that there was something focusing on Beverly McKinsey down the road? Perhaps her son will be a future guest?

During the livestream, it struck me that Irizarry seems like one of the few actors to emerge from the TOLN soaps, AMC 2.0 experience not embittered by how things turned out. In fact, he seemed open to the possibility of another reboot.

He seemed sanguine about the way the PP ended but was candid about being open to another try.

He seems to be getting steady work, so I don't think that this was desperation.

Why are they showing Peter Simon in the intro with Van Fleet already place? Lazy!

Never liked Hillary but she was a Bauer...they didn't even need to kill her just have the bomb put her in a coma and when she wakes up she is recast.

I looks like they were burying her in the BH side yard!

Oh dear.

It has been brought to my attention that I am contributing to the destruction of these forums. Without even realizing it, I am inflicting unbearable suffering onto certain members when referring to my favorite soap by its original (and grammatically-correct) name, which it only used for a mere 40+ years: THE Guiding Light.

Gentle readers apparently cannot withstand being cruelly confronted by the article THE. Indeed, it's being said that so many people have fled the boards over this and similar egregious crimes, only eight posters remain.

Who knew?

I'd like to make up for the anguish I have heaped upon those whose sensibilities have been wounded by the correct use of an article. I'll be happy to donate to a charity chosen by the injured parties. Perhaps Soap Fans for the Promotion of Illiteracy (an offshoot of Melania's Be Best campaign).

As well, I am being criticized for continuing to post here even though I have (allegedly) not watched soaps "since the 1970s." In my defense, I have never once made such a claim. I freely admit that the last time I enjoyed certain soaps was in the '70s, before the sci-fi craze took over, but I continued to watch ATWT and TGL (dear God in heaven, I cannot control myself!) until the bitter end. I suppose I should not be too hard on my critics for getting confused, however.

Reading-comprehension is not for everyone.

To those whom I offended, my deepest apologies.

    • MVJ seems to be cognizant that Leslie and Eva are true breakouts for this show:

    • Yesterdays episode was a great lead in the fireworks for today.  It is a shame that Naomi and Jacob are not there and Nicole's best friend Vanessa and Doug.I am interested to see the fallout from this.  I do think that Eva is Ted and Nicole's daughter.
    • Okay, I hear ya. But, you know Josh Griffith on one Thursday night fired 7 or 8 writers in one fell swoop! That totally blew my mind. But, I still think this is bunk. And, no, the show is not that bad! Literally, my only problem with it, as a fan, is that I think it could be great & it's just not. It's good, not great. They still are not on top of pacing. They routinely take too long to tell stories. But, one example, the scenes this week with Lulu & Laura were like old time soap come home!
    • Ok nevermind, Wolf is in Marian's getup on the Jan 9th episode. Lucy wakes up at the lighthouse and it's now Marian, drinking tea, and sounding like an old British woman a la Mrs. Doubtfire

Wolf is actually doing a good job as Brett, but I don't think they made him look like a believable Marian - its too clown/drag, but also creepier - and Wolf has a large nose they couldn't hide. I guess at this point, it didn't matter since she was unhinged and revealing him/herself anyway.
    • This is the *new* Rachel Black who just started airing on DAYS 4/25/2025, but of course with the ginormous tape-to-airdate gap on DAYS, she'll be airing on DAYS for months to come. And yet now she'll be new ex-Rachel. LOL.
    • As someone who cut ties with the show a little while after Chris Van Etten came back, I can’t talk on what the show is like now… is the show that bad? But even as a rumour, that’s pretty wild and radical. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that before.
    • Yes, I know JK is getting on in years, but perhaps he and his family (wife and/or son) could work with him as co-headwriters on the new TEON! I would also be available as a story consultant!

    • It's too bad they didn't see it through. Alan and Van could have married for all the wrong reasons and ended up caring for each other, with Ross in the wings and possibly Rita, too, to cause trouble. Rita was a LITTLE BIT of a schemer. She was kind of the Nola of her era, without the goofy personality. She deliberately went after Ed because she thought he would give her the lifestyle she wanted. She could do malicious things, i.e. cooly seduce Evie's crush (who was played by Jordan Clark, btw) and string him along until she was sure she had Ed. While Rita claimed to be deeply in love with Alan at the time she departed, part of the attraction for her was his money and power. As well as sharing aspects of Nola's character, she was also a more subtle version of Reva-she grew up poor and always wanted more than she had.
    • I'm not that surprised, in just the little we've seen of her she's been a complete natural. Even better than a handful of the adults.
