Sources close to Kaye reveal that the actor will probably stop taping on “AMC” in November. The same sources indicate that there is room for things to change, whether that refers to final tape-date or Kaye’s status with the show or both subjects is unclear.

Thorsten Kaye ain't going?! I still want to this actually happen before celebrating.

Good lord that just shows you how horrible the writing is if they actually go this route. Waiting to see who will stay or leave in order to determine the outcome of a murder story

I want them to go this route. It would be so much more compelling than having Adam block out having killed Stuart or having Emma be the killer. We've seen those stories already.

They were giving relocation costs to the movers. So, especially for marquee players, I would be shocked if they didn't offer a "travel allowance" or something like that.

i doubt the show is going to pay for anyone who wants to commute. maybe at first but it wont last long if it happens at all, and quite frankly they shouldnt.

Since the list is going in alphabetical order, wouldn't it be funny if whoever was putting the list together saw "Kane" and thought it was referring to Erica Kane and was like "Susan Lucci's already on this list... DELETE!"

I was so happy about the Thorsten Kaye news I did not see this. Christell is making a good career move. She has the look that can get her some prime time. I am wishing her the best. AMC wasted her for years.

I don't find her a particular compelling actress in fact she's pretty weak but I do think she has a look and her work with RPG just clicked on AMC but I also don't blame her for wanting to branch out. Many soap actors do and she does have a look about her. I wish her luck.

I read that Crishell WILL be staying with AMC but on a recurring basis. That does seem to be the best move for her. Im glad the show is still willing to accomodate her

Well most soaps today shoot on a four day a week schedule. Y&R, B&B, GH...I assume when AMC moves to their new studio, they will do the same and save the off-day for any sort of extra location shoots or have it as an extra studio day, in the event that they do a sweeps stunt that requires additional rehearsal/stunt time or if they need to pre or post-tape anything where one of their commuting actors couldn't make it.

Yep. I yearn to see her play Tim Riggins' love interest on Friday Night Lights. Taylor Kitsch and Chrishell both have some impressive acting chops and would no doubt look gorgeous together. I can't see the chemistry not being there.

AMC Reveals L.A.-Bound Cast

AMC is confirming which of its current contract players are heading West when the show relocates its production to L.A. in January. The entire cast, including heavy-hitters like Susan Lucci (Erica), David Canary (Adam), Michael E. Knight (Tad), Vincent Irizarry (David), Debbi Morgan (Angie) and Darnell Williams (Jesse), will be continuing on the show after its move, with a few notable exceptions: Original cast member Ray MacDonnell is retiring after 40 years as Dr. Joe Martin, and — brace yourselves, "Zendall" fans — Thorsten Kaye (Zach) is not relocating and will tape his last scenes as Zach while the show is still based in New York. As for his leading lady, Alicia Minshew (Kendall), she will not be appearing on the show when its first California-shot episodes begin to air because she will be on maternity leave; her first child is due in late November. But, she assures Digest, she will return to the show, although the precise length of her leave is still being determined.

Alicia just could not be a stay at home mommy, could she? It blows that she is staying with the show, but it is absolutely wonderful news that Zachass is gone! Kendall's manbitch needs to go!

IA. The commuting actors will come when they're called. Production will not have to change at all, especially with the four-day work week giving the bicoastal actors a break, with one dark studio day every week saving on overall budget overhead as well.

I just thought it would make more sense to tape, for example, 4 episodes over the course of 2 consecutive days rather than tape one episode per week and fly back and forth.
