Why would Dorothy Lyman be more likely to be Opal than Jill Larson? Dorothy lives on the East Coast too, doesn't she?

Most likely they will just have Opal shoot Randi in the shin and be carted off to join Marian in the nuthouse.

According to what they said at the fan events in New York, Adam Mayfield is definitely going to L.A., but Daniel Kennedy was not asked. So this may be the end of the Cortlandt family.

I think Lucy Merriam is a good actress, but I agree about Alexa. I wish she'd stay as Kathy.

I love Jill. I'm not surprised, but I'm sad that they told her Adrian will never be again I know some hated that story as they felt it was out of character, but I thought Jill was fabulous in the Adrian story, she had great chemistry with Frankie Faison too. I thought that was a real highlight of AMC at that time and a lot better than anything on the show in recent years.

I am disappointed that Daniel Kennedy was not asked to go to LA though not surprised since he has barely been on for months. He was doing a good job with the character of Petey who showed promised as the Cortlandt heir.

If you're a young person and you can act I guess you're really screwed with this show. I'm surprised they're keeping Natalia, as she can act and has some charisma.

Great interview with Jill! I understand a lot of the sadness. If I was a Canary or a Lucci (i.e. a long time NY resident), I'd be pretty bummed about my job moving to Los Angeles -- which is truly one of the ugliest and worst-planned cities in the U.S. (and I say that as a long time former resident of LA! )) The only redeeming factor for Los "Sprawville" Angeles is the nice weather, but even you get sick of the sun after about day 60.

That aside: I don't understand why the move to LA needs to be the death knell for Jill Larson -- if she's willing to commute/move to Los Angeles, why don't they use her like they always have? She's recurring as it is and doesn't cost much.

And it seems like Charles Pratt has been the only HW in the last decade who is actually interested in using Opal, as sad as that is, so I don't think he'd object to JL sticking around.

I would love for Opal to have her black son come back and the father of that boy. I always thought they would find a love story between the two of them. That is way outside of anybody that’s on the show now. In that regard, I just stopped dreaming of the story. I have just been told, “That will never happen.”

That part just made me so mad. You know Agnes Nixon would never say, “That will never happen” re: a story possibility like that. For the first time in my life, I heard myself say out loud, "God, I hate this show." I have had many issues with AMC over the last ten years or so, but I surprised myself with that one.

SON is confirming Beth Ehlers is out, and Daytime Confidential is saying Brianne Moncrief is next. Is anyone going to LA?
