December 15, 200520 yr Member I can't wait to see how the soaps did in total viewers. I think it's a very telling sign that compared to the significant ratings jump that Y&R, B&B and ATWT had on friday GL could only muster a .1. I'm sorry to say but the writing is on the wall. Part of GL's problem, imo, is the fact that it's time slot differs around the country. I know in my neck of the woods it comes on at 10am.

December 15, 200520 yr Member Yup, there was a snow storm in my area also and there was no school. I was surprised those talkative weather people didn't try to interupt the soaps. Wonder how the NBC soaps did.
December 15, 200520 yr Member Y&R 4.3 (+.3) B&B 3.4 (+.2) GH 3.0 (+.2) ATWT 2.8 (+.1) AMC 2.7 (+.2) OLTL 2.7 (+.2) GL 2.3 (SAME) YES THE MICHAEL AND LAUREN WAS A SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!
December 15, 200520 yr Member Look at some of those Friday numbers for CBS! Wow. Y&R got a 4.7, B&B 3.8, ATWT 3.1 (!), & GL 2.4 . When was the last time ATWT was in the threes? One of GL's primary problems is that it's on in the am in many sections of the country and affiliates seem to be prone to interrupt the mid-morning programming with news updates (especially continuing in after the morning shows). Those affiliates have GL *leading* the CBS line-up with nothing but syndicated and/or local programming preceeding it and the CBS Morning Show (or whatever it's called nowadays, the lowest rated network morning show) before that. I've heard that GL does well in most parts of the country where it airs in the AM, but I don't know what kind of ratings its typical competition receives against it. Is it possible that there aren't that many viewers at 10am generally (across the board) which would make GL's ratings lower automatically? Just a curious theory on my part. In a related thought, how does GL's share usually stack up in the AM?
December 15, 200520 yr Member UGH! Come on, DAYS! I thought snowstorms are usually bad for ratings? Yeah, people are home, but there's also pre-empting and stuff, usually?
December 15, 200520 yr Member Dayum, Y&R got a 4.7 rating for Michael and Lauren's wedding! When was the last time that happened? Good for them. The SOD Insider said they went way up and sho nuff, they did.

Yeah, I really think it is the 10am timeslot and the fact that GL doesn't even air in some areas that is really screwing up their ratings. I'd be interested to know how the ratings would turn out if they had a 3pm timeslot everywhere.
December 15, 200520 yr Member 2.7 in HH for AMC is their highest I think since May/June of this year. Awesome! 1.9 in demos is the highest in months as well. This week with Bianca coming home tomorrow should boost them as well.
December 15, 200520 yr Member Glad all my soaps went up! Wish ATWT was higher but ah well. Congrats to Y&R! Even though I'm not loving the show at least the wedding is helping with the ratings.
December 15, 200520 yr Member Nice to see ATWT with 3.64 million viewers. And back at #3 in Total Viewers. Good to see them up in HH's too. I wish it was higher too. But next weeks numbers for ATWT should be much higher. It has been a great week! It's good to see ATWT with a 3.1 for Friday's eppy. It was a good one with a great cliffhanger.
