The Sharon/Nick/Phyllis montage on Monday's episode was a thing of brilliance.

Kevin locked up where he was locked up all those years ago was a thing of brilliance.

Phyllis fighting with Nick on Tuesday's episode and relating everything to Cassie's death was a thing of brilliance.

Michelle Stafford, this is Emmy. Emmy, this is Michelle Stafford.

Got to say I like hard ass Heather.

Indeed.

Seven months is not a long time at all to grieve a dying child. Nick was still vulnerable, and his marriage was still haunted by that loss, and the impact lingers on to this day.

Nick and Phyllis never had any emotional dept to their relationship, it was all just hot sex and distraction, IMO.

Amen.

I just want to say this show is really great now. The only negative thing I can think of about the Nick/Sharon/Phyllis triangle is that Nick is such a boring character it is hard to see why Sharon and Phyllis are going crazy over him.

Have you seen him with his shirt off? That might be a start.

Vanessa Marano is really improving. I don't see what's taking them so long to put both her and Kevin Schmidt on contract.

Guys you are killing me... I can't wait to watch the show; I'm so behind.

I'm right there with you just finally got through Monday and now on Tuesday,

OK I'll admit I don't at all care who Nick ends up with but damn if those scenes haven't been good. Kudos to MS for kicking butt and taking names and making me love some crazy Phyllis. Her trashing the place was just classic and I want more of that side of Phyllis.

Can't speak for Eric200, but...I have, and I still don't understand why Phyllis and Sharon get so worked-up over him (unless, there's a second show downstairs, if you know what I mean).

I hated Dru after that too btw.

man oh how we could use Dru now. I can so see ehr getting in Phyllis' face and rubbing everything in, taunting and making fun of her

In general, in all aspects of life, I have an issue with bias. Truly, and this is just my opinion, I feel many of you don't give Morrow credit for playing a real man...an ordinary guy who's not particularly verbal or introspective...and how he usually tries to do his best to pick his way through the moral complexities of life. He's failing right now, but I generally admire him when he tries. If I want my showy grand thespian, I have CJL or Bergman or Rikaart. If I want my fratboy Mr. Happy, I have Billy Miller or Michael Graziadei. If I want my mannered-but-beautifully-consistent portrayal, I have Eric Braeden. And so on.

In Morrow I get (a little inconsistent with his character's silver spoon background, but that's been a casting issue from day one) a truck driving (we recently learned) everyman...a grunt...who loves his women and his children. For Nick, it is hard to emote...which is why he was so unavailable after Cassie's death...and which is why when he does break through (Cassie's death, final entranceway divorce moment with Sharon, Nick van Winkle learns Cassie has died) it is so touching.

I generally get a good read on what Nick is thinking. That tells me Morrow is doing his job, albeit in an unaffected manner. Nick...more than almost any guy on the show...reminds me of the men I grew up with, the men in my family, the men I interact with work. For conveying such realism, what you might call "understated performances" (which I realize some of you will more unkindly call non-performances), he usually earns my highest praise.

I agree with everything here.

Unpopular opinion, I adore Michelle Stafford but I wasn't impressed with her at all today. She was just off to me

I agree. I was really let down.

Nick/Amber!

Yes.

Tho id much rather a Nick/Heather thing.

I COMPLETELY disagree that "anyone" can play quiet shame. I defy you to find a single actor on DOOL or B&B or (outside of TSJ) OLTL who can do that. (I mean, sure, you can probably find 1-2 on each show, but you know what I mean...). JM is head and shoulders above most of his daytime peers.

I too disagree that anyone can do that... And i really do think Morrow is a good actor and much better than people give him credit for... but head and sholders above most? No. I can name you several cast members of all three of those soaps who could pull it off, and many many who are far better than Morrow. Even in just male actors.

because both are needy desperate women who dont know how to exist unless they revolve their life around a man.

By the way - I met the actor who plays Det. Gill (Cassius) at a coffee house in North Hollywood the other day. Really cool guy! Laid back and smooth just like he is on TV. I like how he plays the detective role as conscientious and calm even when he has to get aggressive. He asked that his fans write the show and ask for more Detective Gill - where should I write to? Do they have an e-mail address? He gave me some dirt on a few actresses but I promised i wouldn't tell......for a while! Hehe..

Is this the same actor who played Det. Wallace in yesterday's episode? Ex-Justus from GH? I love him! He has the the most beautiful speaking voice and delivery.

And you cannot leave a tidbit like that without telling us more! Spill! Or PM me.
