Members Money
Nothing seems to be working for GH. GH is so unwatchable it's a travesty. I cringe every time Robin ignores Emma and leaves her crying, coupled with the fact that Robin comes off more as someone who's selfish/heartless/cruel and NOT someone suffering from post depression. They need to wrap this up quickly because that baby stuck in a tree in a raging blizzard would be dead by now and Robin is still completely unattached. This is now hat viewers want to see. Add another duplicate of a sweep stunt that we just saw a few months ago and GH isn't far off from a 2.0. It's sad what's happening to OLTL. The show was on a role a few weeks ago and now it's just teetering. There isn't one storyline that is captivating or engaging. I won't even bother commenting on AMC. ABC needs a complete overhaul. Frons must GO. It's not a mantra, it's not fan squawking, it's just the plain awful truth. If he continues to head ABC Daytime there will be nothing left. Members DRW50
Is this the first time GH has lost and lost viewers for these yearly stunts? I don't want to see OLTL lose to GL, and I don't expect they will. GL is in a tough position with timeslots. That's why I'm pleased with what they have now. I just want to see GL continue to improve in quality, as it has this week (and if it's true Grant Aleksander has dictated writing choices, then good for him because his return has been very good so far). 1.7 is better than I expected. I'm hoping they can at least keep 1.7 with Phillip's return. I wish they'd had Otalia on more often this week as they seem to boost the ratings. GL has not promoted this storyline and yet unlike the AMC turkey, viewers still manage to find and enjoy it.

Members baller
I've got to say, I think the GL is all Phillip and people getting caught up before the big return. I hate to see shows drop, but seriously OLTL and GH were just bad last week.
Members TMOTVSoaps
Wednesdays are becoming a golden date for soaps as their ratings are spiking up hard on that day. Well except America's Bogus Company. ABC Daytime needs to get their fuckin' act together as its starting to get depressing to look at their ratings. I think ABCD may need to rebrand that whole lineup soon. The truth is that the soaps quality wise are in decent shape, but many fans are still displeased. ABC lives off that demo really hard so they don't pay attention to the drop in the ratings unfortunately. That's what you guys get for not going to HD. I think the biggest story of the year might be GL's turn around in '09. GL is turning things around big time and it reminds me of when DAYS was dead in the water in '07 & '08 and turned it around in late '08. I predicted that GL would be hitting a 1.8 around the time Phillip returned with Edmund. Besides the casting the stunts the real gold for this soap has been Natalia and Olivia's relationship as they have brought in a growing audience. With Y&R's recent uprise in the ratings GL should start seeing a 2.0 surpassing ABC's soaps and become the 6th place soap sometime before this fall. ATWT has picked things up too so a renewal for both shows is coming. DAYS & Y&R are fantastic! I'll talk more in-depth about each soap later on. Members sheilaforever
Even though they lost viewers, it seem all CBS shows are still higher than pre-winter storm... Hopefully they can keep those viewers and build on it.

Members Cheap21
why the heck are Days and ATWT so high? I keep hearing how terrible they are yet it doesnt reflect in the ratings
Members JimTolkien
I am a bit disappointed in Y&R's ratings. I did not expect the ratings to go down or the # of viewers to drop that way from the previous week. The viewership was steady but very stagnant considering what the 2 focal points of that week was. Yeah, CBS shouldn't be elated or giving themselves a pat on their shoulders about their shows at all!! They are taking major hits in the pocketbook!! Expect a lot more trimming of the fat sort of like making an airplane as light as possible so that it can go a long distance without crashing!! Members Ann_SS
Given that the huge gain in last week's ratings were due to the winter storm, a soap that was able to keep any of those viewers should be happy. No matter how people try to claim otherwise, the weekly fluctuations are due to random external events like the weather not the quality of the show or the stories featured that week. Members JimTolkien
I would say yes we could use the weather as a good excuse but somehow I don't think those excuses will be flying any longer.
